velocet
I'm sure I'm not alone in having different categories of favorites. 1. Old, all time favorites. Mainstays of the collection. I see people in this thread have some great gear at the core of their stuff. Thanks for sharing! 2. "New" favorites. You know, the things you just recently got and for now hold your attention the most. May or may not top or replace all-time items (usually not) in the long run, but WGARA, it's all good. I have a nice new favorite: a gold cap w/'skins logo trappings and an X. Never seen one of these before. Pretty awesome! Some poster here, I think his name is Clark The Gomer, gave it to me. Thanks a lot man, wherever you are! But in the course of reading this thread I discovered that a third personal favorite category is indeed in play: Something someone else actually owns but is a favorite from a distance. For me right now mcarey's figures are that. Those rule. (but don't worry, your treasure is safe from me, the pics are sharing enough. I'd sooner give stuff away than thieve) velocet
Meatsnack
My child's small Kilmer jersey I got when I was 5. Billy was my favorite player after only Diron Talbert but they didn't make his jersey in a kid's size.
mbws
My favorite is the NFL Films video produced after the 1991 season which lead to winning the Super Bowl.In the film, right before the NFC Conference Championship game, they showed this scene: A Detroit player leaving the locker room coming onto the field. A closeup of a fan with that small white megaphone who screams "Get pumped up. We're gonna kick their butts!" Then, the NFL guy says, in his famous NFL voice "and kick their butts they did." Final score: 41-10. The guy with the megaphone is me. That NFL Films announcer was Harry Kalas who died today just as he was about to announce the Phillies at Nationals game. http://www.fanhouse.com/news/main/harry-kalas-dies/425248 R.I.P. ryanh8888
Although I have a couple of game used jerseys, the most special by far is Landry's from the last game Sean Taylor ever played...11/11/07 vs. eagles. Followed by: Santana's game used from the Seattle playoff game later that year with the 21 patch. ...and my Rogers jersey from 10/7/07 when he scored his only career touchdown. mcarey032
Wow!! I wish i had some of the stuff most of the people on here have!!I'm really hoping to get my first auto at the draft party!!! Either Rock or DT would be awesome!!! If that doesn't work out, hit up training camp. They usually have a lot of players signing and it isn't usually scrubs either. You could get Cooley, Portis or some of the bigger names if you are willing to wait in heat.
Skinsfan1311
I only wish I bought the other one they offered - An 80's Darrel bobble-head with him standing in RFK. I have that one.

Cooley4President
Probably be my full size helmet that I've been collecting autographs on. I've got Dexter Manley, Gary Clark, Rickey Sanders, Joe Jacoby, Chris Cooley, Monte Coleman, and a few others. I've got a lot of other stuff but this one has taken the most work over the most time. And there's still a lot of room on there.....
TeddyKGB
An unused ticket to the Giants Redskins game which was the Revenge game for Sam Huff that ended up being the highest scoring game in NFL history.
HateYanksDukeCowboys
Wow this is a tough one, given the sheer amount of Skins memorabilia I have. I guess I'll use the age tiebreaker and go with my oldest item as my favorite: Which would be my two toned Burgundy on top, gold on the bottom Redskins Winter Ski Cap (the little yarn ball fell off the top back in the mid-80's. I got that thing in 1979.

armstrong001
All the stuff from the last game at RFK and the first game at JKC, or the Sonny Jurgensen HOF signed retro mini helmet and Art Monk signed mini helmet. Or maybe the gameday magazines from the Super Bowl wins. Or maybe my collection of Redskins football cards from the 1950's through about 2000 (I stopped when the number of different lines started multiplying. I couldn't keep up). Or maybe... Inigo Montoya
I have a ton of items I love, my favorite has to be a framed article from the Times after beating Dallas to go to the playoffs in 2007 with my tickets stubs from the game. It was Gibbs last home game and that season will forever be with me. the headline reads: On Defense Just Dominate Inspired by Taylor, Redskins Control Cowboys Offense Close second would be the football I Got signed last yr in the players lot which is highlighted by Campbell and Portis, also has Carter, Daniels, D Thomas, M Kelly, Suisham (who is a really cool guy and I will always pull for him) and others I cant remember. Skinhead
A seat cushion from the Atlanta playoff game. It rained seat cushions that day after victory was in hand. We went on to win the super bowl that year after beating Deon Sanders and the Falcons.
Fletch76
I have a complete copy of 1975 "Pro!" home programs (bound in burgundy) and signed "Hail to Redskins" by Jack Pardee who lives in Houston area and still coaches kids. Great guy. I had a signed Mark Rypien Wheaties box in a plexiglas box but my 2 year old scaled a shelf and ate them. Box was destroyed.

mbws
As promised:12/31/72 NFC Championship Game stub 12/24/72 Green Bay playoff game stub Pretty plain looking aren't they? Apparently, the Packers stub was printed before we knew they would be our opponent. The Dallas stub had to be printed after our victory over Green Bay. I don't remember the logistics inolved in getting the tickets to the ticketholders in less than a week. I'm just a little curious as to the prices for those tix. C.Taylor
I'm just a little curious as to the prices for those tix. I seem to remember them being in the $35-$40 range, which seems pricey for 1972.
