Big Mac Patty Wack
Why would the Packers take Tyson Jackson over Orakpo. I think everyone has Orakpo rated higher.
Going Commando
His top 32 players list isn't very good. I just don't see Josh Freeman being a top 15 player. I don't think he is a future Ben Roethlisberger. And I don't really like Percy Harvin as a top ten guy. I know he was largely ignoring need, but if that's the case why didn't he just do a big board. I think there is little chance of the top ten playing out like he has it. Raji to the Browns is unlikely since they just traded for Shaun Rogers and he played well. The downward trend starts from there.
Siven
That's a win now attitude. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying that, yes while we need O-line now the most, if Orakpo dropped to us, he could be our LB/DE playmaker for years. That's part of the BPA strategy. besides, if andre smith dropped to 26... at that point lets trade some future picks and swoop in and get him. Siven
Why would the Packers take Tyson Jackson over Orakpo. I think everyone has Orakpo rated higher. because good 5 techniques are damn near impossible to find in the draft.

littleskins
I made a mock that had Orakpo falling to the 13th pick but this one is more unrealistic than mine. I'm high on Orakpo but I think Robert Ayers will be a better fit. He's not flashy but he's consistantly keeps offensive lineman off with good hand techniques. This gives him oppurtunity to make plays.
TGI Jef
im torn on Orakpo, but he certainly wouldnt be the worst use of the pick IMO i would kill for us to have a guy who plays like Clay Matthews, but we would never take him. i do not think he is a great fit for our system, but i really like watching him play. he is going to be a monster. Arsenic
Really? A DE is going to help us win more games than help on the O-line? The D is solid enough to win games, the QB needs time to throw and perhaps we'll score some games with 34+ points. Our OL was adequate for most of the season. If you wait 30 seconds before tossing the rock, you're going to get sacked. I believe this to be more of a QB/WR problem. Teams were succesful with much worst OL than ours. CommanderDOOM
This draft is based not on team needs but RG's BPA correct??
Ji
Kiper has us getting QB Sanchez http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/insider/columns/story?id=4054695&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2fdraft09%2finsider%2fcolumns%2fstory%3fid%3d4054695
wilco_holland
It doesn't even look that bad.......I think it could be possible, but then we will have some trade from people so they can move up for Oher and Smith.
alwaysaskin
This very well could happen.Casserly said Orakpo was a question mark because of his lack of coverage skills. If a 34 team wants him to move to OLB then he will need to be able to cover TE's and RBs which according to casserly he will struggle with. I wonder how many teams agree with good ole Charlie. If that is true then this is great, we don't need his coverage skills and he won't be a tweener, he'll just have to get to the QB
skinny21
Although I'm not a big fan of drafting a 'tweener, I do like that he can fill the situational DE or OLB role and he'd be insurance for Andre Carter.
[[ghost]]
I would love to have Orakpo. With Haynesworth he could really wreak havoc. But he's not coming here. Who in their right mind would take Maybin over Orakpo? Buffalo wouldn't pass on him. Good mocks are based on what you think will happen, not what you think should happen. I think Oher is a better prospect than Smith, but my mock would have Smith going before Oher.
