HOLY ****!! the place erupted (SD is a huge blood city) and they started throwing stuff and trying to get at him. dude hauled ass quickly!!

he is a pretty funny dude though on TV.

I actually thought you were talking about O'Reily for a couple of sentences.

Haha, that reminds me...we were in line with Snoop Dog going through security at LAX last month. He has these freaking huge, freak of nature bodyguards and my friend who's the other coach on our softball team was just staring at these guys, she didn't even notice they were with Snoop. Anyhow, she'd gotten separated from me and our players and not realizing it was Snoop, asked him if she could cut in front of him to catch up to us. He turned to her was was like "go right ahead little laaady..." Lol.

Nice. Do you run into TMZ at that airport? You should get a crew and pretend you are famous to throw them off there ;)

This brings about a good point. He basically poked fun many women in pop culture. Was Sarah Palin so "over the line"? The point about about this song is that if it weren't for all of these women in pop culture, Eminem wouldn't be the rapper he is today.

As far as the Bill O'Rielley bit. I think he explicitly used this song in order to bring about the point that he feels that women's rights groups are really just "far left" groups that only take shots at right wing "attacks". Most of the segment was spent complaining about Media Matters and other left wing organizations the he dislikes.

Either way, I don't think Eminem has much of a political agenda. Plus the song, with the Dre beat, is pretty damn tight.

So it must be ok to post a link to a Michelle Obama parody song/flash it has a tight beat and portrays her in a loose manner as well but the house slippers in the street stuff was funny.

Ah the more things change the more they stay the same. It's almost become a right of passage. Member of media,(many times an "older" one, takes issue with a musician, their music,or both and younger folks get up an arms about said criticism and the person criticizing.

Hey why does O'Reily only care that he's attacking Palin and not all the other women in the vid? If Sarah Palin wasn't in this video would he even care?

Yes, it was over the line. And yes, there was a diffrence with Palin. The difference with Sarah Palin, is he made her look like a porn star. Something that would knowingly offend someone like her.

If anyone has followed Eminem's music videos closley he always puts out somewhat of a "spoof" song as his first singles on a new album.

Remember, Eminem stirs controversies, which sells records.

Slim Shady LP, Guilty Conscience stired controversy.

On Marshall Mathers LP, he had a song about Micheal Jackson, which stired immediate controversy. It also allowed him to sell millions of records.

To me in a odd sense Eminem is quite brillant. The way he markets his albums with lyrics, and controversal videos is the exact reason people on this board will go to Best Buy and buy his album. People want to here what he's going to say and do next.

I'll buy his album for the Dre beats and Eminem's lyrics alone.

The whole song wasn't about Palin, in fact there was only one line in the song about her. Now if the whole song was based around disrespecting Sarah Palin then I would understand your point.

Sure it would offend her. However I can clearly remember many, many times during the election cycle that pictures of Sarah Palin were met here with comments such as, "I'd hit it."

Palin was objectified here as much as anywhere else. A one liner in an Eminem song is really that big of a deal? In my opinion, there were many posters here that share the same opinion as Eminem's one liner in his song.

And for frame of reference... here is the entire verse:

The enforcer, looking for more women to torture

Walk up to the cutest girl and Charlie Horse her

Sorry Portia, but whats Ellen DeGeneres

Have that I don't, are you telling me tenderness?

Well I can be as gentle and as smooth as a gentleman

Give me my Ventolin inhaler and 2 zenedrin

And I'll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner then

Nail her,'Baby say hello to my little friend'

Brit forget K Fed lets cut off the middle man

Forget him or your gona end up in hospital again

And this time it wont be for the Ritalin binge

Forget them other men, girl pay them little attention

A little bit did I mention, that Jennifer's in love with me John Mayer

So sit on the bench

Man I swear them other guys you give em an inch

They take a mile, they got style but it isn't Slim

^ I agree that this song is not very good. He does tend to come out with these corny songs as his single. Hopefully the album will be different. I'm hoping for a dark Em personally

The verses are actually very lyrical if you listen to it...most people will have to listen to it a few times before they realize it...He always starts off his albums with a comedic single.

I can't believe no one on this board is talking about him making fun of Tony Romo sits to pee...I thought that was funny...lol

Why wouldn't it be okay? It really just depends on the source IMO.

The parody was on a site that didn't filter out the racist comments but hey the parody itself was just an expression of freedom of speech just like "skittles" video featuring the parody of Gov Palin.

I suppose I'm the only person on earth who likes the song.

No, just like US soccer fans, I'm sure the other guy does too.

It's not great but it's not terrible, either. Better than 95% of the crap out on the radio these days.

Which means the current generation has to reach to place this in the acceptable music category.

I once read an article where a music exec claimed that rappers could only rap about their lives and when they ran out of material from their life story, their careers were over because they were stuck creating instead of feeding off emotions. You're seeing it with Eminem and why he hasn't put out good music in years. Atleast when he used to say things in poor taste it was either a) funny or B) funny. Now his music just sucks.

i really dont have a problem with o reilly, from what i've seen at least. i dont watch or listen everyday by any means, but i have listened at times. hes critical of everyone, not just one side of the political spectrum, which is pretty rare. i think he probably gets alot more flack than he deserves, his skeezy phone sex employee thing notwithstanding.

that said, i think he's making this bigger than it is and feeding the eminem machine, which is what he wants. eminem dressing up like he does is pretty funny.
