bubba9497
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/03/notes-from-lombardi-first-round-mock/ Click link for entire article Notes From Lombardi: First Round Mock FROM MICHAEL LOMBARDI: The names are essentially the same, but the order has changed between my first mock draft almost two weeks ago and today’s projected first round. I still believe the Lions will begin their rebuilding with a quarterback, but offensive tackle is a critical position, and I have three going in the first six. *Please note: this mock reflects a trade at #11 that I am PROJECTING. 1. Detroit Lions: Matthew Stafford QB Georgia: A rebuilding team has to start by addressing the quarterback position. 2. St. Louis Rams: Aaron Curry OLB Wake Forest: The Rams could go in any direction. They need players 3. Kansas City Chiefs: Eugene Monroe LT Virginia: Can play right or left tackle, a perfect fit for the Chiefs. 4. Seattle Seahawks: Jason Smith LT Baylor: The Seahawks need to upgrade their offensive line. 5. Cleveland Browns: Brian Orakpo DE/OLB Texas: Sanchez may be a possibility here. 6. Cincinnati Bengals: Andre Smith OT Alabama: The Bengals never seem to care about character issues. 7. Oakland Raiders: B.J. Raji DT Boston College: The Raiders need to stop the run. What better way than by drafting a top-flight run defender. 8. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mark Sanchez QB Southern Cal: Sanchez will be the Jaguars’ quarterback of the future. 9. Green Bay Packers: Tyson Jackson DE LSU: Drafting a front-seven defensive player here is a must. 10. San Francisco 49ers: Aaron Maybin DE/OLB Penn State: The 49ers need to find somebody who can rush from the outside. 11. New York Jets (via trade): Josh Freeman QB Kansas State: The Jets trade up to address their need at quarterback. 12. Denver Broncos: Robert Ayers DE Tennessee: One of the best front-seven players in this year’s draft. 13. Washington Redskins: Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech: The Redskins need help along the offensive line, but they need a playmaker to pair with Santana Moss just as much. CRobi21
Jeez louise! I've seen some weird picks for us in all these mocks. Usually there's a general consensus of where each player will go. But there's been a lot of different opinions out there this year. I guess that comes with the #13 slot.
StillUnknown
Vinny Cerrato Millen will be his name if that mock goes down like that

tomwvr
If the SKINS draft a WR then there is a problem with Vinny that cannot be fixed. :saber: and that is sanity. We cannot continue to go after GLAMOR players when we need to fix the DL and OL Tom

[[ghost]]
Well, its not the WORST mock I've ever seen, but its close. Curry at #2? Freeman at #12? Crabtree could come here, but if he does, it's not because we need a playmaker next to Moss. We drafted two of those last year and are still working them out. It's because he's simply one of the Top Rated players in the draft, and to take him practically guarantees you an outstanding player.

HitStickTaylor21
I hate when mocks call trades. Mocks are usually 2% right to begin with, why do you have to complicate things even more? Anyways, he has some odd players falling and moving up, I really don't see how Crabtree falls to #13, but if all those players are gone ahead of him, I'd take him or Maualuga. Veretax
No way Crabtree falls to 13, if he does we will get a call from someone like the jets or bucs.
Big Mac Patty Wack
This is going to be a crazy pick at 13. That's all I've got to say.
illone
Lombardi is a clown. Everytime he talks on NFL Network I just laugh.
skinsdude
That is by far the worst mock draft that I have seen. Sanchez possibly to the Browns? The Skins taking a WR with their first pick? The only pick that I like is the Jets trading up to get Josh Freeman. That's one of the picks that makes sense.

I think we need OL and DL but if he falls to us you gotta take him. And if we decide we dont want him im sure some team will be willing to trade picks for him. I think a better pick would have been an OLB candidate. Crabtree? No way.

I say we draft a tight end with the #13 pick, and yet another with our 3rd rounder!!! We will fully exploit the quadruple tight end set! What a revolution that will be... Championship!
