bubba9497
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/features/rumors Click link for entire article Cutler recruiting Plaxico Before the offseason chaos that resulted in his trade from the Denver Broncos, Jay Cutler was preparing for another season of lucrative statistics, throwing the ball to Brandon Marshall. Unfortunately for Cutler, his new team lacks that kind of receiver, so he's making his best effort to lure one out of the waters of free agency. According to WSCR-AM radio in Chicago as per a Vaughan McClure item in the Chicago Tribune, Cutler has already reached out to Plaxico Burress in an attempt to bring the troubled wideout to the Chicago Bears. If Burress is eligible to play in 2009, he'd provide a vast upgrade to the Bears' offense, and the team would further increase their chances of reclaiming the NFC North crown. Asked whether Plax was an option, Bears coach Lovie Smith told the Tribune, "Every player that's available, we look into. No more than that." In the parlance of today's NFL, a non-denial means that the Bears are definitely considering Burress, but might be waiting until his legal troubles sort themselves out a bit more. Burress is still in the process of adjudicating gun charges, and further developments may not take place until mid-summer.

SirClintonPortis
If true, this shows he's got more smarts than some fans here, who would demand the he just lives with a non-optimal supporting cast and 'make them look good'. Yes, "MAKE HESTER LOOK LIKE PLAXICO, IT'S JUST LIKE TURNING IRON INTO GOLD". lol, phail.
mcarey032
Considering that Chicago has no one to throw to, it is interesting to me to see what he will do next year with players like Devin Hester and Greg Olsen.
SteveFromYellowstone
That would be an awesome pickup for Chicago if he ends up getting out of jail time
Laxpunk2006
That would be an awesome pickup for Chicago if he ends up getting out of jail time If he's smart he'll take his plea bargain about be out before training camp.
