Bubble Screen
The No. 8 team has been shut down - effective immediately. The number 71 (Gilliland) may not run any longer due to lack of sponsors. That's a shame about Gilliland. He had run decent so far this year. But, what's worse, is AJ Allmendinger not having sponsorship for the full season. That's nuts. Guy can drive his tail off. Red Bull Racing were fools to let him go. Scott Speed?
Burgundy Burner
If AJ can't run a full season in the 44, RBR needs to get him back in the 82 asap.
SkinsBry
I read that JGR could pick up The Dinger if he doesn't get a full time ride or even Truex. There's a clause that says Truex can get out of his contract if Earnhardt isn't running three cars. ****ing Theresa, she could've given Jr. half ownership but didn't, she ended up merging with Ganasi. She could've given Jr. his #8 but didn't, now she's shutting the 8 team down.

Titaw
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The ***** got what she deserved. I feel bad for SR. It was his dream to own his own team and have his son take over when he was ready. T crushed it and will now be known as the ***** she is!!!!! Tony has a good relationship with BPS.
BigMike619
the end result though is that DEI and the legacy of Dale Earnhardt are tarnished and the company is ruined.

I am one that is happy to see her fall flat on her face. She can have her full ownership of a almost defunct team now. It's exactly what she deserves. But if Martin gets into another ride with another sponsor, I see them going to SHR.
SkinsBry
AJ Allmendinger has a sponsor up until the chase. http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar/cup/news/story?id=4052854 44's schedule extended into September By David Newton CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A.J. Allmendinger now has sponsorship that will keep him on the track through the Sept. 12 Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway, the cutoff for the Chase for the Cup. Richard Petty Motorsports officials announced on Wednesday that Hunt Brothers Pizza will sponsor the No. 44 Dodge for six races plus the All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Officials will continue to look for deals that would allow Allmendinger to drive the entire 36-race schedule. "This is awesome news," Allmendinger said in a statement. "I want to thank Hunt Brothers Pizza for coming on board and supporting us. I know our fans and NASCAR fans in general certainly appreciate all they are doing for the sport." Allmendinger was guaranteed only the first eight races when the season started, meaning next week's race at Phoenix would have been his last. The next four -- Talladega, Richmond, Darlington and the Coke 600 -- as well at the All-Star Race were added after a fast start that had him up to 15th in points before a 34-place finish at Texas. "We have shown that we have the ability to run up front in this series," said Allmendinger, who won the 2008 Sprint Open, a prelim to the All-Star Race. "You are going to see our results get progressively better the longer this team stays together. "We started the year putting an emphasis on qualifying, but now that we are locked in the starting field we can turn our attention to the race and that's going to help our race results." SkinsBry
I wonder if he did that if he would merge with Tony's team? Hmmm, I would say no because EGR and RCR work together on engines. Tony runs Hendrick equipment, so that would be a downgrade for SHR, like going from an Impala to a Cobalt. Jr could switch and work with Hendrick if he owned the company but I doubt it. Right now, I just don't see Jr buying DEI.
