It's funny, I keep forgetting that even though this is a public board wehre we can express our opinions, we really can't because all the children on this board resort to name calling, not trying to actually talk about anything.

Look whose talking. :hysterical:

Note to Jason: we don't care if you are pissed. You are not a good QB, and you don't really deserve a starting spot. All other Redskin QBs have been replaced at some point and you will be to. Most of us want it sooner rather than later. Prove to me you are a great QB and this will change.

Note to 2cents ur nuts. Jason is a good quarterback. We have a quarterback with the same win percentage as Cutler and turns the ball over less, in additon to learning a new system ever year. Jason should be pissed he's just now a little biatch about it like Cutler is. I believe Jason can get it done and I can't wait till he makes all of u eat your words. Trust me I will call all of u Campbell haters out.

I thought about giving you a pass because by your post, I thought you were twelve.. but when I saw you were in your mid fourties I was shocked.. First of all, speak for yourself.. I do care about the starting quarterback for my favorite NFL team.. I also think that saying that all other Redskins QBs have been replaced is really telling.. You sound like a Dallas fan trolling a redskins message board.. Saying that a 26-27 year old QB with a 63% completion rate, 83 QB Rating, 2-1 TD-INT ratio and over 3,200 yards in the first season in a new system sucks really tells me how clueless you and all other JC haters are.. to you Jokers its Payton Manning or bust.. well I got news for you, Tom Brady came into the league in 1998 and there hasn't been another one since.. Well run franchises like the Giants, Titans, Panthers, Ravens, Steelers, etc. have gone deep into the playoffs without being dependent on the hopes that the next Payton Manning will fall into their laps if they trade away every good QB they ever get..

F*** It, its like trying to describe color to the blind..

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Isn't calling you a joker or ahole opinions too? You really think people can make that judgment just because you said something about Jason Campbell? They're not personal attacks, and the second person actually brought up more arguments than you did.

You can express your opinion all you want.. That's the beauty of free speech.. what makes free speech even more beautiful is that others can criticize your opinion when you put it out there.. Don't put out a polarizing statement and then cry when it gets lambasted..

Campbell's career is at a crossroads.

He either plays well enough in his contract year to become a legitimate starter, or, he doesn't, and he goes the way of Leftwich, who at 27 or so began the backup phase of his career, still believing he's a starter, but having never been good enough as a starter for anyone else to presume the same.

This is Campbell's final year. Assuming he starts 16 games and is not consistent, he'll have around 50 career starts and will start being a backup in the league for the next 5 to 10 years. If he does great, he'll get a new deal and be a starter for years to come.

He's handling it correctly to put his efforts into establishing himself as a legitimate starter.

I swear, Jason can't win with some of you. People blast him for being "medium" and not showing enough emotion (as though he's an actor going for an Oscar). Now that he gets pissed, people blast him for that too?

It really doesn't matter what Jason does, those who dislike him will always find something to complain about. He can win 12 games for us this season, but someone will still find a "flaw" or something to cry and whine about.

If he really is pissed off about the trade situation, then I would like to see him channel that to the field. Yell at Santana if he drops a pass that should have been caught or chew out Samuels for getting beat by a guy that should have been blocked.

Notice a difference?

Maybe before you cry about others acting like children you should look at yourself.

Art's post is an example of actually talking about something.

Yours was, well, not.

the former captain of his previous team. cannot sit down and talk

the pro bowl captain who has volunteers his time to mentally handicapped childern..but he cannot sit down and talk

the pro- bowl qb who does respect his fromer employers enough to talk

But he is a pro bowl quaterback

But he has a cannon arm

but he has a quick release

yes, I do have common sense. I didn't care if we got Cutler or not. Jason is an average NFL player and has been since he came here. Hoping forever is not always the best thing. To me, he has not shown that he is going to gt that much better. Now if we had better players around him, that would be OK. However, the set up we have now means that he has to be really, really good for the team to succeed, which I don't see. I hope I am wrong, because if he does take off, so do the Skins. But I don't see it, and since our backup plan is either Todd Collins or Colt Brennen, that does not exactly inspire confidence.

The only way to save Jason's ass is to bump Portis. If the Skins used Moreno ... they could play Jason from the gun more frequently and use the dump-off to Knowshon in space as a huge weapon (a la Westbrook). This will raise point production = more wins. Jason's problems stem mostly from his poor backup from center, slow release and poor field vision. All of these deficiencies are mitigated by the above. Draft Moreno and make JC a star. My thought for the day.

I don't think bumping Portis is the answer to JC's problems. Portis was damn near our entire offense last season. If you take him out the equation, we are easily on par with the Detroit Lions.

who wouldn't be pissed? if he wasn't pissed, I'd think there was something missing in him... how he's handling it is what counts and pessimistically thinking, how else can he handle this? what leverage does he have? cutler had an incredible amount of leverage and used it... campbell has zero leverage... I don't think it will work with JC but I hope to god it does... starting over next year looking for a QB could lead to that purgatory most teams are in... which we've been in since the gibbs I era...

A QB alone can't carry a team to a Superbowl win.. Examples include John Elway, needed terrel Davis.. Payton Manning, needed his defense to step up.. Dan Marino, never got the supporting cast.. Even Steve Young had Deion Sanders picking off every pass that was thrown.. Troy Aikman's stats were comparable to JC's but he had a top notch defense, Emmitt Smith, et al.. Tom Brady never really had to carry his team early in his career, his defense, and offensive line was amazing.. When that fell apart, the Patriots struggled, case in point, 2007 Superbowl.. I really wish these fans would stop basing their hopes and dreams on getting the best QB in the NFL.. its not going to happen, and if it does, it still doesn't guarantee results..

It amazes me that people can say "JC sucks", because he doesn't have as many TDs/yards as Cutler, as if the two are performing in a vacuum and there are no other factors involved. I am 100% certain that if Cutler had been our QB last year, we would have been no better of a team, and maybe even worse.

If we had a defense that forced a lot of turnovers and made plays, then maybe a more risk-taking QB like Cutler is beneficial; as it was, we couldn't get our defense off the field and as such, it benefitted us to have a guy like Jason who wasn't going to kill us with INTs and put our defense right back on the field in bad spots.
