Dah-Dee
How the hell is this poll at 50-50? Sorry, I misread it, thought the poll question was "Should we sign Plaxico Burress's cast?" I'm always up for a little magic marker fun.
Major Harris
Yeah, lets get the guy that doesnt attend team meetings and occasionally shoots himself (while at a bar, during the week, during the season). Good idea. it works for the bengals.

benskins26
give him the vet minimum and take him on a test drive like DH! I'm sure he'd want to play here since he is a Virginia native! If this was possible, I would think about it. But somebody (probably us) is gonna way overpay for this headache. Other than that scenario which is extremely unlikely, I pass on this guy. He's a baller, but a HUGE headache.

REDSKINS3000
Sources report that following the release of Plaxico Burress by the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins appear to be working on a trade that would send starting quarterback Jason Campbell to Cleveland, Browns quarterback Brady Quinn to Tampa, the Bucs 2009 #1 pick to Kansas City, Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez to the Giants, and would 'give' to Washington the rights to negotiate with their NFC East rival's former wide receiver at some point in the future if and when he recovers fully from the involved leg injury that resulted in weapons charges which could lead to prison time. Reached for comment, Redskins VP Vinny Cerrato said, "I love lamp." :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Vernie
Why? If nothing else the Giants appear to be a smart organization. Maybe they feel Burress may not be available this upcoming season. Not to mention the fact that he's 31 years old, doesn't practice, and has clearly lost a step or two. Picking him up sends yet another message to the team and it's fans that we clearly are not about developing our own. How about doing something different for a change? Let's develop our players. Then maybe we can return to the playoffs year after year like the Steelers, Giants, Ravens.

Soup
I'm mixed about this one. IF he doesn't go to jail than I'd like to have him. The guy is a great WR. Remember he played hurt during the giants superbowl run. The big WR that the skins need can be answered with Plax. I don't know, Plax is not a thug he's more like a dumb kid that thinks he's tough. If the redskins want to take a chance on hm I'd go for it just because I think he will learn from all of this and be a good WR. We're not talking about Murder, Dog killing, or drug abuse. The guy shot himself in the thigh because he wanted to be cool. He's just a dumb kid and I wouldn't mind them getting Plax.
CjSuAvE22
If he can avoid jailtime, then we definately should sign him if we can get a good deal, everyone calls him a cancer but the giants totally sucked withou him their offense was completely inept without im they also dont win the super bowl imo hes one of the best targets inside the redzone something that we need unless everyone is so sure Kelly or Thomas will be stepping their game up...... Hazel-Ra
Is there really a debate on this?!?!?!?! MANDATORY 3.5!!!!! Do you think any D.A., Prosecutor, Governor, ect who is subject to re-election will want to earn a "soft on crime" label in NYC for l'il ol Plaxico who isn't even on the home team anymore? Dude is straight up going to go to jail. Bad law...yes, but the law nonetheless with a mandatory minimum. Gah!!!! I can't wait for the draft, just so these possibilities will just disappear.
