The Redskins have released a statement from executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato. It states: "We met with Jason [Campbell] today and had a candid discussion. We told Jason that when [Denver quarterback] Jay Cutler became available we, like many other NFL teams, spoke with the Broncos. We are all on the same page and we are moving forward."

If Campbell can't handle his job being in jeopardy, he should have chosen another profession. Like maybe a mailman or something.

That goes for any/all NFL Players.

Besides, if he's really that fragile, do you want him leading the team? This is all much ado about nothing. If it were me I never would have even met with JC. His job is to play football and do the best he can. My job is to fill out the roster.

This is your year Campbell. Imma support and back u all the way man. You finally get a chance to work with the same coach and offensive scheme and a decent line.

You know how hard it is for the Black QBs out here. Go get em Mr. Campbell.

I noticed in the blog Vinny doesn't mention that he told JC, "Your our guy". It isn't over with yet with Campbell. He'll be gone and it will be sooner rather than later. Love him while you can.

Too true...Jason is out of here if not this season..then there is no way he resigns with this franchise.

Yeah ur right, Campbell is the perfect QB for us. He did not throw a fit like Cutler did. Campbell does not even care about what the FO does or says. He is aware of his position and he is going to play his heart out regardless.

He showed leadership and toughness through all 3 offensive schemes, poor offensive lines, 37 sacks, pessimistic fans, trigger happy GM, small receivers, and everything else that went against him. He has the support of his team mates and coaches (as he said on ESPN 980) and that is all that he needs.

Him and Zorn will be our leaders for years to come.
