December90
Seriously? Could you possibly make a more ridiculous post, that one just ain't doing anything for me. 1) He is a **** 2) Either he is the dumbest idiot who has no clue what he is doing or he is a very smart socialist and knows what he is doing is crippling the economy. He either has learned from history and is actively trying to repeat the Great Depression (Or at least the Carter years) or he has not learned from history and should be thrown out of office. 3) I hope he fails so that the country will not fail. If he succeeds then he will take America down. 4) His backers are getting what they deserve with lost jobs and the Government standing in the way of normal economic cycles. Unfortunately, those who realized how bad this idiot is did not turn out at the polls enough to prevent what we now have going on, and they too are paying the price for his Socialism/Marxism. panel
I don't think we have had a rescession last more than 16 months since the depression. Just because the economy is turning around while he is in power doesn't mean that it was because of him.
Thiebear
I was thinking this morning of opening a thread on HOW DO WE KEEP IT DOWN! I've bought more shares in the last 8 months than probably the last 3 years combined. this is the greatest time of my life for catching up on my lazy attitude of the younger years. I didn't vote for him, but he better not mess up this awesome trend for the next year. Sincerely, Its all about me. This is a NNT by definition? December90
"Since the recession began in December 2007, the economy has lost a net total of 5.1 million jobs, with almost two-thirds of the losses occurring in the last five months. " Things going bad until Obama is elected then it gets much much worse. His policies have made the problem worse, they have not made them better. To be fair, Congress is at least as much to blame than this Idiot in Chief. But out Idiot in Chief has done nothing to "set Congress strait" he has encourage the absolute devastation of the American Economy through Government interdiction. :doh:The blind fools who cannot see what this buffoon is doing:chair: Why should any business have faith in the Obama Administration? mjah
December90, I presume you were absolutely apoplectic over Bush's failures that contributed mightily to this mess, right? Hard to imagine that you would have remained silent during those years, only to speak up now. That would make you look like a total hack. But I'll let you provide the proof that you're a reasonable person, not just an oversubscribed bloviator: Please share your opinion on Bush's contributions to this economic debacle. Please don't deflect this question with some weak "butbutbutObama" non-answer. I'm asking you a specific question about your opinion on Bush's policies and decisions. A reliable narrator will have a well thought out answer to this question -- and will have much to say on the topic. I look forward to reading your response. Based on your comments, I would suggest that in fact you are the "dumbest idiot". :obvious: There are perfectly legitimate ways to criticize without resorting to this sort of pathetic bs. PiLfan
Way to cherry pick stats. Yes, unemployment continues to rise (as it was doing for months before Obama even won the election), but it is a lagging indicator and is typically one of the last indicators to turn around during a recovery. How about all the other signs that the economy is starting to rebound? Manufacturing orders, housing starts, housing sales, trade deficit, inflation, consumer spending, even car sales are all showing improving numbers over the past couple months. But to credit all of that to Obama is as asinine as saying the 8.5% unemployment is all Obama's fault. No one can say at this point how much impact (good or bad) the recent policies and bills will have on the economic recovery.

Burgold
So, you expect the worst financial crisis since the great depression to be absolutely solved in less than a year, have no aftershocks, and that the flow of action from macro to micro is absolute and immediate. I'm impressed. Usually, a poster gets at least one thing right. Oh, and I believe Obama was born in wedlock so I think you need to brush up on your vocab. Shame on you, sir. zoony
There's already a thread on March unemployment numbers. John Locke's Ghost posted it days ago. So what we have here is a thread that is breaking several rule violations, including blatant trolling, improper title formating, and redundancy. Normally it would be minimum NNT, maybe even a short break, but I'm feeling charitable this morning. I'd suggest not pushing it any further.
