marcoskins
One thing is for sure, The team has rallied around Jason....Zorn has too. usually we are all complaining about how Portis is a showboat, and JC holds the ball too long, Antwan can't run back punts etc... I think it's refreshing to see, that in this instance, this team seemed pretty unified! This is exactly what this team needed!!! The Best way for Jason to redeem himself? Play lights out football and make our lousy front office ROYALLY pay!
AKM311
I don't know if you can say that yet. I haven't read anything besides Zorns comments. No teammate has said anything. BTW, I am glad we kept JC. I think he can do some damage for us. He is not Peyton Manning, but we are investing in old school smashmouth football (Invest in D and OL, hopefully more). JC can win on that kind of team. difleha
Not so sure that the teammates really cared about JC anymore. I know moss really hates him for his hard passes and high balls. lol.
marcoskins
yes, i didnt call them all and ask. I read zorn's comments, and cooleys blog. Also, campbell made mention today of how supportive his teammates had been over the last 24 hours. assuming they are not lying..i'd say the team is unified in supporting Campbell. dreamboater
You really think Campbell is going to flip a switch and play lights out? We saw the best he has to offer, I think in the first 8 games. Excellent game manager, sure you can win with that but you dont build a franchise around that style. I for one want a franchise QB. I agree with Mosley said, we are now staring the worst case scenario in the face. We have a lame duck coach and QB. We can not escape that in this season! Whoever was offering a 2nd for Campbell needs to be on the phone with Vinny right now.

I thnk Zorn and cambell deserve another year, and the point of this was to express how cool it was to see the team stand up for the guy! Man, what were you people saying after the first 6 games of Gibbs' career??

I dont remember...too young. However, all we know is Zorn has said he was behind him. For all we know Zorn will be gone tomorrow. I doubt it, however we dont really know the entire team was behind Campbell as their QB. The fact that some people dont see the talent difference is remarkable. Forget the stats, just watch some film. Cutler is by far, leaps and bounds, a better QB. Is he the last franchise QB in the NFL, no however we have a horrible history with drafting QB's. So if it doesnt work out this year with Campbell, are you happy with any of our options? If no, I dont see us getting in the top 10 of the draft next year without trading up, once again giving picks away. I like Campbell, but the thought of Cutler under center was quite exciting to me. Guess I am just a bit bitter how it all went down.
Ghost of
He is not Peyton Manning, but we are investing in old school smashmouth football (Invest in D and OL, hopefully more). JC can win on that kind of team. If he needs a Baltimore ravens type team to be successful, he's not Philip Rivers or Drew Brees or Warner really a very good QB at all. Good Qbs don't NEED that to win games, balance is good but they can win it with their arms. I mean, campbell isn't even remotely as good as Hass a couple years ago. Or McNabb. And he's young. You know, Kerry Collins has the age excuse. We're going to put up with how much of a Kerry Collins c. 2008 with a young QB? Not For Long.
