WhoRUSupposed2Be
Many have already said it themselves. The Ponchos had no leverage in this trade at all besides what compensation they wanted in return.

SirClintonPortis
He grew up a Bears fan. Makes sense. (and maybe a part of McDaniels evil plan to get him back ten years later or appease the owner.)
jasjhughes
Chicago offered their QB, two #1's and their #3. We might even have matched it (God I hope not, and I wanted Cutler) but reports on NFL network say Denver wanted Orton over Campbell.

DiscoBob
culter doesnt decide where he gets traded so i dont understand how that is the deciding factor QFT....not that I necessarily wanted him, but anything is better than undermining your starting QB and then having to keep him... Larry Brown #43
Which was the ultimate deciding factor.http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/jason-la-canfora/bears-land-cutler.html Where does it say that was the deciding factor? Here's what the blurb says: Cutler had expressed a strong desire to play in Chicago throughout the process, according to a source who had spoken to the player. The Redskins had been active in negotiations, offering multiple draft picks and putting together several proposals over the last two days, a league source said. It merely mentions his desire to play in Chicago in passing.

Veretax
Orton is probably a better fit for the kind of offense McDaniels. Brady had to run a quick striking passing game at times. JC is just too slow for that, and everyone here should realize that.
Larry Brown #43
Well, being that Chicago was his hometown team growing up, why wouldn't it be? Since when does Cutler get to choose which team he gets traded to? He wasn't a free agent. Denver could trade him anywhere they wanted to. His desire to play for the Bears was just a side note. HitStickTaylor21
If the Bengals had accepted our Chad Johnson offer last year, do you think would we have offered our 2011 and 2012 first-round picks? Agh, the would be awful...

SkinsMaster88
Considering that Cutler had said he hadn't been in communication for more than a small conversation over the last 2 weeks with the Broncos. And both sides in Denver had opposite views on what happened in the past and in the last couple days, I don't think Cutler's opinion really had any say in terms of what the Broncos organization wanted to do. They chose based on what they'd get out. They felt the Bears' offer was better than whatever the Redskins gave.
