Riggins77
Because lets say it does NOT get done, and JC is our QB this year. I mean, how would you feel. Basically they said they wanted some (IMO) punk kid over you, even though you work tons more than he does and has built a supposed solid relationship with the organization. At this point, even though I am opposed to this trade, if the Skins keep pursuing, you'd have to need them to succeed because otherwise the relationship with Campbell would be ****ed. Honestly, this is a business and his feelings don't matter. He is paid to go out and get the job done and like anyone else, is replaceable. He has a right to be upset, but he should take the professional route, suck it up and play ball to the best of his ability.
Burgold
I think it depends. Right now as far as we know the Cutler stuff could be total bull and media speculation. There is nothing to pin it to the Redskins as of yet. No quote from Campbell (Scott or Jason) Cerrato, or Snyder to say that there is any meat to this story. There were thousands of stories published about how we were front runners in the TO sweepstakes... both of 'em. Clearly, the sources were bull. So, if this is too then there should be no impact on Jason's psyche or at least no lasting impact.
Oldskool
This is a business and loyalty is just a word in the dictionary when you're in the NFL. If he lets this effect him, all the bashing that has been done to Cutler can be said about Campbell.
GIBBS LIVES
**** how Campbell feels. Snyder's alienating the fans with his "one player away" philosophy. Exactly. This "need" of Snyder's always to make a big, splashy move is ultimately what will drive this team to the ground.
SkinSince87
yes major damage has been done to him just like major damage was done to Ramsey, but if it doesnt happen he can become a pro bowler then tell the Skins to kiss his ass and run off somewhere for a lot of money
hoskins
I am no big fan of Campbell the QB. I just don't think he has what it takes to play that position at an elite level. But I have nothing but respect for Campbell the person. I'm sure he'll take this as good motivation however it plays out. I think the reason he has the fans he has is because he's a good, solid, likable, professional person.
AKM311
So it prob takes us down to 3 draft picks? LOL!

terpskins10
Exactly. This "need" of Snyder's always to make a big, splashy move is ultimately what will drive this team to the ground. It really already has.
SirClintonPortis
"A bunch of trade talk is what got Cutler mad at Denver, that's the reason all that stuff started with him, but I wouldn't do all that. The thing you understand that there's no loyalty in this game, so you just have to work hard. That's all you can do." JC will take it like a true man. No pissin' from him.

kubstix
I love it! The same people calling Cutler a crybaby because he wanted to get out of Denver are now saying that they wont blame Campbell if he demands a trade! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL, I noticed this too until I got to reading your post. This is hilarious.......I guess the cry baby saying doesn't apply to people with the initials JC. Tarantula
Those who doubt Campbell say it all the time, the guy shows no emotions. And while I think this is complete nonsense, this is exactly the time in his career where it will be obvious how thick skinned he really is. If Snyder doesn't ruin this team by dealing away everything for Cutler, Jason Campbell will still have a good season and remain our future. It doesn't apply to anyone who wears #17 and has the initials JC haha.

WARLORD1863
There is no damage because the team can always deny every attempting, that it was all rumor. That's why there's such a tight seal around whatever is going on, plausible deniability. And I don't think Campbell's allegiance is to the owner, it's to the players. I think Jason has a heck of a bond with the players and would shrugg this off without a problem so long as Cooley and the gang are around him. But that quote also shows he's being professional about it, unlike Cutler. He understands what the NFL is and is willing to work hard no matter what. Cutler? The moment the rumors started he was raising a hell storm.
Hardcore Zornography
yes major damage has been done to him just like major damage was done to Ramsey, but if it doesnt happen he can become a pro bowler then tell the Skins to kiss his ass and run off somewhere for a lot of money Good lord that would suck. Campbell ends up staying this season and has an unbelievable year. Breaks all of his personal records, leads us deep in the playoffs, then walks in the offseason scott free. Welcome to being a Skins fan.
TE#80
It's kinda sad when you think about it though, if guys can't play for the good of the team thats loyal to them, then they are only playing for a paycheck. Welcome to the modern NFL i guess...
OVCChairman
He cant be happy with this. Hopefully if this doesnt happen, it's more of a motivator then a detriment. JC is a humble guy and i think he can honestly understand that it's just business.. but im sure this is bothering him.
KDawg
I have a feeling, that despite Campbell is a class act, that behind the scenes he's going to be pretty upset about this. He won't create a hooplah about it, it's not his style, but that doesn't mean he won't be upset. I would be if I were him, it's natural, no matter what the profession. Mentally, he may not be able to play for us next year. I really hope, if we can't get something done with Cutler, that Brennan is ready to take some live snaps in actual games, because if not this may be a very long season. Should nothing go down and Campbell stays, I hope he's just extra motivated by this. But would it surprise you if he did have an outstanding season and went to free agency and signed elsewhere due to this whole thing? In which case, retrospect will tell us we should have traded him anyways. *sigh* *shrug* We'll find out. Hope he toughs it out. I've always liked Campbell, especially as a person (from what we see/hear)

No, in his possible last year with this organization Campbell an NFL player with an NFL mentality will play hard. It should motivate him to no end.
