SMOSS89
Because lets say it does NOT get done, and JC is our QB this year. I mean, how would you feel. Basically they said they wanted some (IMO) punk kid over you, even though you work tons more than he does and has built a supposed solid relationship with the organization. At this point, even though I am opposed to this trade, if the Skins keep pursuing, you'd have to need them to succeed because otherwise the relationship with Campbell would be ****ed. Hooper
I'm not a big believer in JC, but he's not the baby Cutler is. He'll just strap his cleats on and play. Besides, it was clear what Snyder thought of him once he didn't even offer him a lowball extension.
skinsdomination09
campbell is not a Cutler. IMO he would rub it off and maybe be more motivated to do better next season, although his shortcomings were mainly the byproduct off a lackluster offensive line. chrisxcore
At this point, I hope the kid gets the hell out of DC and goes on to have a decent career. I wouldn't blame him one bit if he came out tomorrow and asked for a trade himself.
brandymac27
I asked the same thing in another thread. You would think that all this has to be affecting him.
Farbod21
I love it! The same people calling Cutler a crybaby because he wanted to get out of Denver are now saying that they wont blame Campbell if he demands a trade! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
terpskins10
Campbell will handle it like a professional. That's all he's done, that's all he knows. Even the most ardent critic of Campbell will give him that much. I think this will be a mistake, trading for Cutler. But Campbell is not the guy to moan that the team doesn't want him and will force his way out. He'll prepare like he always does, put on his pads, and play tough for us. 88Comrade2000
We can aways go with Colt. If we really had faith in Jason- he would've already been given a contract extension. Jason is Gibbs QB. A qb drafted for Joe Gibbs offense. Joe Gibbs is long gone now. We need a Qb for Jim Zorn or Mike Shanahan if he's the next guy.
scruffylookin
With all this happening, I'm sitting here watching Jason sitting there with the fans at the Caps game and I can't help but think what a pro and good guy he has been and I'm feeling really bad the way this is going down. SkinsWizCubsDukes
I feel that whether or not we get Cutler, the damage is done. We need to trade Campbell to a good suitor for decent compensation if this Cutler deal does not get done. I feel we can then have options in the draft or with a veteran suitor at QB as well as possibly add some talent in return for Campbell.
9_to_42_td
What about Colt??? I don't know about anyone else, but I would at least like to see him given an opportunity. Sounds like he is no longer in the picture period.
TigerSkins
A similiar situation happened at the beginning of Jason's senior season at Auburn. That year, Auburn went undefeated. Sorry, I can't reference the article because it was years ago, but Jason was quoted as saying that he would never be booed off the field again. He does have a fire and a love for the game so Jay Cutler could be the best thing to happen to JC. "Because lets say it does NOT get done, and JC is our QB this year. I mean, how would you feel. RDSKNfaithfull
I don't want Cuttler. That said Campbell is a grown damn man. If he can't handle this then he shouldn't be a NFL quarterback. Come week 1 when he is prepairing for a game he won't be thinking about this one bit. Maybe you will or the press will and make a deal out of it and force it into his head but he should be able to deal with it.
Fred Jones
No, JC, unlike Cutler, is a class act. He will bounce back and move on. The word professional comes to mind when talking JC.
Thirtyfive2seven
I just posted in another thread - I don't know the answer to that one. JC shouldn't openly come out and say anything if this is true and doesn't happen. Why? He's in a contract year and if he stays quiet and plays well he can drive up HIS asking price exponentially. I hope he has as good an agent as Cutler does because right now I don't buy this story. I think the agent is trying to get the JETS to commit to more draft picks
CRobi21
I agree with what everyone is saying. JC is a TRUE professional. It's hard not to root for the guy that's always the class act.
Lil Kenzo
What if this doesn't happen and then Campbell becomes the QB he was supposed to. I can see it now, Danny offers Campbell an extension and he bolts to play somewhere else. How sweet would that be for Campbell?!

IbleedBnG83
It doesn't matter. They aren't sold on JC. From all accounts, they want to move on and Colt is waiting patiently. So it doesn't matter what JC feels or thinks. They will trade him for something from the sounds of it.

A punk kid who has good enough stats for ProBowl, even though I dont put alot into ProBowls. Did JC get pissy when we drafted Colt? Same thing. Cutler is BY FAR the BIGGER talent. JC should see the writing on the wall when he didnt get extended (contract).

SirClintonPortis
I doubt it. I'm feeling some bad karma coming if #17 and the first Redskins coach in a long time to defeat Dallas in his first game are booted out though.
