88Comrade2000
I think Josh McDaniels is over his head and it wouldn't shock me to see him canned in 2 years.

SteveFromYellowstone
He's in way over his head and is driving a franchise QB out of town. He could have admitted his mistake in the Cassel fiasco, but he won't. As far as I see it, he lied to Cutler, and I totally understand how Cutler feels. I think Bowlen has a part in this too. The least he could have done was keep Bates.

terpskins10
I personally am going to take the other position. He shouldn't have alienated his Pro Bowl QB, no, but the guy knows quarterbacks. He's been around a future HOF for his entire career and turned a 7th round college backup into a very good starter. Who are any of us to say that McDaniels didn't see something in Cutler he didn't like? I personally think Jay is overrated and I wouldn't be surprised to see McDaniels turn Chris Simms into a decent starter for his rookie coaching season. terpskins10
Don't these guys know as soon as they sign on the line they are trade bait if the price is right. I agree. There's no room for hurt feelings in the business of football. That's why I stopped being a Ramsey fan when he started whining about the Brunell trade. Not that I supported the Brunell trade, mind you, but that he whined about it afterwards.
SirClintonPortis
Lol, I was actually going to say that, but didn't for fear of even more backlash. I feel confident that life will be good for JC supporters at the end of 2009, should he stay here or go to Denver. Let them come. I can't wait to see the hypocrisy spewing out of their mouths saying it's just his supporting cast giving him his good numbers. Then again, I'm pretty moderate in the grand spectrum of viewpoints, agreeing with much of Oldfan's views, with the differing opinion on whether the 'Skins should pursue Cutler. addicted
I'm with terpskins, my position on this is not going to sound like someone who's been asking for Jay Cutler to come in here. I honestly think most of you don't have the street smarts to know what's going on here. Let me lay it on you in simple terms. One word to discribe Daniels: Patsy See if you groomed a kid to be your starting QB for years and then moved to a new team wouldn't it be natural for you to want him to come with you? Of course. So when said kid becomes availible you make a move for him right? The problem is Jay Cutler supposedly got upset over possibly being traded and started this mess. I don't think that's as correct as what is being said. Jay Cutler is a 25 year old probowl QB who is set to make $1 million this year. That is rediciously under paid. Vet minimum contracts make 800k a year, how in the hell can a franchise QB make close to vet minimum money and be happy? Instead of Jay making a stink about his contract his agent seized this opportunity to move his client to a new team and blamed the head coach and this crap. Its easy for the new head coach to get the blame, he's what 32 years old? People think 32 year olds are naturally stupid. So the agent blames the coach for hurting his clients feelings and tries to force the team to open up to a new contract except the owner says hell no. When the owner says no the agent tells the player not to return calls. The owner gets pissed and says publicily hes trading this player. That's where we are now If the trade goes down the agent and player get what they want which is a new location. See a new team means more money for them. The old team get screwed and the blames on the new young stupid head coach for running the probowl franchise player out of town. From a manipulative stand point I applaud the agent and player for getting thier way without getting into the unfriendly arguement of contract disputes. From the former teams standpoint I think they got hustled. From the patsy coaches stand point I feel bad for him but not much, he did it to himself in a way. Problem with Denver is they didn't oust the agent and player publically about this and should have called thier bluff. Since they didn't they setttled with the possibility of a new QB and the loot they will get in a trade. Bottom line...The owner made his choice, the agent made his choice, the player made his. No one's innocent. I want Jay Cutler to be on this team for one reason, the kid is flat out miles better then what we got now. As long as he's being paid he will be fat and happy. G.A.C.O.L.B.
I liken Josh McDaniels to the new guy at school who on his first day falls at the top of the stairs, busts his ass on every step on the way down, and then pukes all over the head cheerleader when he finally stands up at the bottom. Epic, EPIC new guy fail.

One thing, Daniels was only the OC at New England for what 2 years? before that he was a QB coach?? sorry not buying that. We've seen the history of Belicheck throw aways, Weise, Crennel. Only Mangini has really shown anything as a Coach IMO.
