awillhide
Should we pick him up. Seems like a very low risk pick up
H-O-G
I remember when Buster Davis was coming out of Florida State and I watched him through out NFL Networks coverage of the senior bowl practices along with the likes of Patrick Willis coming out that year as well....Buster Davis would not be a bad idea to bring in if hes healthy and in shape... cphil006
I agree... sign him... we could always release him if we draft a LB...
SkinsNoles21
Bad ass in college ... Built and played in college like Fletcher does in the pros ... maybe he could learn from Fletcher. Couldnt hurt.
SIXX99
As long as we don't have to pay him a whole lot then go for it.

H-O-G
As long as we don't have to pay him a whole lot then go for it. Why would we need to pay him to come here? He'd be jumping to his phone if a team called him...he hasn't proven anything in this league to deserve a contract involving a large sum of money. Chump Bailey
This is the second team to release him I think, but I suppose it could not hurt to invite him in to take a look.
Thinking Skins
anybody got any scouting info on him or articles about him doing anyhing good/bad?

Brandon Lloyd Christmas
i remember when he came out, he was a low 3rd round pick. if it doesnt cost much id be interested to see what he can do in our system.
GibbsFactor
Buster Davis is another Blades who is another Fletcher. We have enough of those types. We need to keep Blades as backup Mike. We need a good sam.
skins2victory
eh why not? Young, athletic, low risk -WOW, this would be perfect sign him now!!! -Then we could take the best avalible O-Lineman in the draft with #13, then with our 2nd pick take a DE. And that will be the best we could do to fill our 3 positions of need!!
terpskins10
I'd be very wary of a guy who was a 3rd round draft pick and was bad enough to released prior to his rookie season. Just my two cents, though.

NappTownSKIN
I live in Indianapolis and have seen Buster play at the pro level. Very slow and reacts just as slow as he runs. Bracket was hurt so Buster started and did a very bad job. He looks like he could be a beast but he doesn’t translate on the field. BUST
terpskins10
Ya but we could take a look at him, and release him if he isnt a good fit Yeah, it can't hurt. There are the cases, however, of great college players who just don't cut it in the NFL. Just because he has similar size to Fletch doesn't mean he will overcome it like Fletch did. I really don't think, after being released three times, that he has it in him to make it in our system. I hope I'm wrong though, because I liked (and hated, obviously) watching him play at FSU. acuratl1984
eh why not? Young, athletic, low risk If we can perform like Alfred Fincher, I think we can keep him around for depth + special teams. I mean we signed Fincher and he looked good in preseason, and did good on Special Teams(so I heard anyways)
skins84
He was a beast in college but for some reason isn't getting it done in the NFL... I doubt he'll be anything more than a special temas player.
HitStickTaylor21
I liked him in college, but he's pretty much the same player as HB Blades.
Spartacus87
No thanks. Loved him in college, he was a really solid LB for us, but he just isn't cut out for the pros. Fletcher is really an extremely unique case with his size, and Blades has also been very impressive while having a stellar career at Pitt. Buster, while a good guy, just doesn't have the athletic ability or the NFL smarts to cut it as anything more than an average special teamer. He got cut by the Cardinals because he couldn't digest his assignments as a rookie. Just pass.
Laxpunk2006
Considering how few LB's we have on our roster it wouldn't be a terrible idea to bring him to camp but I wouldn't expect him to even make the roster let alone make an impact. He seemed like a good prospect coming out of college but he's already been released by multiple teams that need LBs. What does that say about his ability?
