 This is a worse law enforcent reach than the Georgia sheriff charging Michael Phelps for pot because of that photo. Nothing should come of this.

David Elfin

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss was charged with indecent exposure this morning by the Loudoun County Sheriffs Office for an incident in September captured on video at the team’s practice facility in Ashburn. A Loudoun County deputy sheriff issued the citation to Moss outside the practice facility this morning. Moss was not arrested, but was issued a summons to appear in Loudoun County District Court on June 9.

--Click-2-Listen -- The video, originally posted on Redskins.com, the team's official web site, follows Redskins receiver Antwan Randel-El during a practice session at Redskins Park. In at least one scene in the video, a player wearing a number 89 jersey is seen in the background, apparently urinating near a tree on the edge of the field. Moss' jersey number is 89. The video was removed by the team earlier this week.

Indecent exposure is listed as a misdemeanor offense in Loudoun County. Those convicted face up to 1 year in jail. First offenders are more likely to receive a fine, community service, counseling or probation.

Moss was unavailable for comment. Drew Rosenhaus, Moss' agent, declined to comment on the charge.
