Does it have to be professional? If so, then no. But I've seen a lot of Virginia Tech mens soccer games in their entirety. And my nephews high school games. My brother and nephew are big soccer fans, I'm not anti-soccer but not a fan either.

Yea the game is way too boring to watch. It is a lot more fun to play. I give soccer players all the credit in the world for being amazing athletes but it doesnt change the fact that the sport sucks to watch. Why is the rest of the world so entertained by it? I just dont understand it. Are their lives that boring that soccer actually adds excitement?

that's what they say about american football.

if you grew up in almost any other part of the world, you'd more than likely be a soccer fan, too.

I think I've watched maybe a half. I didn't have enough invested in either side to get really into it. It's okay, but mostly blah for me. I feel pretty much the same way about baseball... although I have made it through a bunch of those including a few games live.

My (soon to be ex) wife draged me to a USA vs Scottland Friendly once. Told me that if I went, I woudl become a fan. She paid for great seats....

Game was 0-0 and was SOOOOO borning. I think there were 6 shots total in the game....

Not to meantion that the other team kept tripping on their skirts.

Right. My cousins don't understand American Football at all. It is hilarious. They came to visit earlier this year and we all tried to watch a game. They all were pretty bored. They complained how the action stops every 30 seconds to reset. They were blown away that we have to stop and watch commercials every 10-15 minutes for 3 hours. They thought it was very slow moving with constant breaks in the action. They sounded JUST like an American talking about soccer.

My cousins are also big ruby fans and thought that we are enormous *****'s for wearing pads.

People just like what they grow up watching.

kind of sounds like basketball these days, huh?

#1, there was an actual score in that 5 second clip.

#2, Shaq didnt get up and whine to the referree or act as if his ankle was shattered into a million pieces, then when he realizes he's not going to get the call, get up and run back into position like nothing happened.

#3, I find the NBA to be rather boring too.

My old fart is showing. I didn't factor in all the young whippersnappers who were indoctrinated in school. (Probably a conspiracy of those One World Government folks.)

Should have picked ice hockey. (The other sport I was considering making the poll about.)

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

It was fun to play when I was 10 years old, but thats where it ended

Funny, I'm 30 and will probably play into my 50s or 60s. Besides basketball and hockey, I can't think of many other team sports that people still play. I don't even know if there are any 25 year olds that aren't in pros that still play full contact in pads football or fast pitch baseball.

i love watching the world cup games. other then that i don't ever really watch soccer unless nothing else is on.

Ditto.

I'll watch the occasional US qualifying matches, and anytime the US plays Mexico, has grown into a good rivalry.

I did see a couple of live World Cup matches when it was in LA, which I think is the best way to watch a match, including the big US upset of Columbia ... one of those few special sporting events I will never forget.

No. I once tried to get interested in the World Cup, and made an attempt to watch several games. Couldnt do it. Soccer is too ****ing boring, nothing happens. Too much flopping and complaining to the refs.

Sounds a lot like watching Duke Basketball ;)
