Thank you for tuning into the Super Bowl, if you have any of the following conditions you should not watch the Super Bowl pregnancy, heart conditions, overractive bladder, seizures, high cholesterol, pull for the lions, vote democrat, anal bleeding, short attention span, a fat sister, no HD T.V., or naked.

Wow, that's interesting.

The only Superbowls I've seen from the Redskins are on the tapes my parents recorded. I was alive for only one, but I wasn't old enough to know what was going on. It feels like it will almost kill me everytime the Redskins just lose a regular game, especially if it's something we should have won...after a loss like that, I don't wanna talk to anybody.

I guess it's a good thing I was young enough to live through Super Bowl XVIII. Not sure if being in attendance actually helped or not. It was all pretty surreal and staying in Orlando might have actually helped a bit. The trip was a lot of fun. The only negative was the game and the aftermath.

I'd like to think that if the Redskins ever did get back to a Super Bowl and lost it that it wouldn't affect me that badly. Yeah it'll hurt but I'm just not that much.

But I must say that I still remember the pain I felt after the Skins got their asses handed to them by the Raiders.

But it really was only because of my age (13) and my inexperience with how sports works. To me back then, the Redskins always won. It was just the way things went. They had won 28 of their last 31 games the last two seasons and two of those losses (both 1pt losses in 83 Reg Season) I did not even see the Skins lose due to MNF went on too late past my bedtime so I had to bail at HT and the Skins were up big against Dallas and I think were tied or close against GB. So I had not seen the Skins lose a game in over a year. Suffice to say, what happened that awful January day of 1984 was a shock to my system.

I think even kids now who are now 13 or so, have only known disappointment with the Skins so I think even they would appreciate a Super Bowl appearence.

Why can't you watch the Super Bowl naked? :silly:

And I can see this happening...so help us if we finally make it to the Super Bowl and then lose. If I didn't have a heart attack, I'd prolly kill other people. (J/k.)

If I didn't die, I definatley would not be right for weeks.

I'd either be face down in a gutter somewhere with multiple empty bottles of whiskey near by, or in jail if we made it back and lost.

I barely remember the last one, but thats when Monk became more than just a player i liked. He became my fav Skin. Ahh memories....

I was 4 days away from my 16th birthday when we lost to the Raiders. I've played that game over and over in my mind and if Squirek doesn't intercept before halftime, it's 14-3 and still in range. We would take the 2nd half kickoff and march down and score a TD (Mosely probably wouldn't have missed the PAT) and it's 14-10. We beat them 37-35 in the regular season. I was in Children's Hospital during that game after my heart surgery. The SB 18 loss still haunts me to this day and we beat them 9 out of 10 times easy.

Memories is an understatment! ahhhh!!!

Being the same age at 8..... Yea 8 at the time.... With being educated on the skins that was by far a dominating year for the skins. One of the best teams ever.... Ever I say!! It is sad to say the least, but we do have three SBs. So be happy, some teams don't have any. Neadless to say I still remember that season with no problem.
