airs0ft3r
We've all seen the reactions, the emotion, and money over this Haynesworth's deal. Maybe I'm a few weeks too late, but I'm rather curious, because I want to use this as leverage for conversations for next year's off season. Are you actually happy with this Haynesworth signing? Especially after a bad JT signing and departure? Please weigh all factors, including cap hits, age, attitude, performance, and ethics.

Evilskinzfan47
If he performs at the high level that we all know he's capable of and improves our defensive rush, then i'll be happy as a pig in :pooh: But if he takes his GINORMOUS payday and just goes through the motions, then i'll be upset. Its to early to tell.I honestly think he's gonna be a beast in the middle for us though. But hey im just being optimistic. So for now i'll vote happy. SIXX99
I wasn't ecstatic when I heard about the signing (personally I was more excited to get Deangelo Hall back). I think we overpayed him by a mile. But I do think he will only help the defence. We had no pass rush at all and we were still in the Top 5 in overall defence. I just hope he doesn't get hurt like Jason Taylor did.

So that makes it less likely to hurt the Skins which is the only reason I care about pay/
bulldog
He says he wants to be the next Reggie White. While on the field he may be able to get close, off the field he has a lot of improvements to make in how he carries himself. Reggie was helping to build working class housing in the offseason and trying to keep kids off drugs with programs he funded, meanwhile Albert Haynesworth is driving 110 mph and causing accidents that put other drivers in a coma? robotfire
You tick off a lot of your players when you do a ridiculous contract like that. I'm just saying, is all. He'll end up being the reason we can't resign a lot of core guys in the future.

White did charity work but I do believe he had a few cases where, well he made some questionable comments.
Redskins:Victory_or_Death
It's not "Yes". It's not "No". It's not even "Indifferent". How can I possibly judge the signing before he's even played a down on his new contract? If you need to something to talk about NEXT offseason - wait and see what he does THIS season. Big Mac Patty Wack
No I'd rather have our mediocre DT rotation back. I hate it when we have elite, game-changing players.
SirClintonPortis
I'm glad I can at least hope the D may be able to stop Brandon Jacobs without having to commit 8 men in the box all the time.

Hail26
You have to be happy with big Al (at least for now) i think it shows the team, fans, and NFL the Redskins are serious about winning. and we NEED DL help bad.
skins2victory
He is a definite upgrade in the middle,so yes I am. Yep, thats what I think!! If you can upgrade anywhere that is a good thing. Our salary cap is going to be fine, so there is no reason that it is a bad thing. He says he wants to be anything but a bust and I am sold!! MWCREDSKINS
Too early. I'm excited at what Albert Haynesworth playing at his best can do, however until he steps on the field, who knows?
airs0ft3r
I don't think I made what I was looking for clear. I know he has to play in games for us to judge how good he'll be. But Bills fans are generally happy with T.O. even though he hasn't played a game yet. From what you've seen and heard, are you happy with Haynesworth? It's like the Colt situation. We've never seen him play in an official game but we're really happy with him.

Sure, yes, we needed the interior line help and if the contract is as backloaded as it sounds - the whole thing makes sense. But we should be talking about this now...why are you waiting to talk about the potential of his signing until NEXT offseason when we will know the results then? I feel like I'm in some kind of freakn' time warp.

AKM311
I think you need to rephrase your question to: "Do you think the Haynsworth signing will pan out?" Then ask, consider the cap, the depth, the contract, and expectations. Otherwise this thread makes no sense today.
