SIXX99
So Shaun Shuisham is still on this football team. How on Earth can this happen? He was the worst kicker in the NFL!!!! How can we justify keeping the worst kicker in the league on this team!?
bushwack
The fact that he only had 3 different holders, one who was a rookie, was not helping his cause. I think he has potential; however, I would really like to bring in someone other than Rayner for competition, maybe an UDFA rookie possibly like Pat McAfee or Sam Swank. RenegadeTK
maybe because they like saying his name? the sad thing is at times he has seemed like he would be legit. then he misses a "chip shot" FG. and i still think him missing that FG in our last playoff game killed us. hopefully he can step his game up and start getting it done. IbleedBnG83
There is going to be an open kicking competition. Its not like the contract they signed him to is guaranteed.

Yeah that miss was definitely a momentum killer. Suisham needs to be pushed with competition in camp because he's not the long term solution at kicker. CM916
Quite simply, he defeated Novak and he put on a great performance after that (for that year), coaches trusted him for the next year and thus brought in no serious competition, and finally we will not spend on a kicker because of how Hall turned out. royallypwned
Easy, this is why he is still on the team... edit: did I really just waste my 2,000th post on this guy?? :rotflmao: FAIL!
THE HAMMER'IN HOG
He needs one more year to learn the system, tough for a kicker to over come a new coaching staff every year, especially if they change his snapper, or holder, these little subtulties are very difficult to over come, but I would say this season is a make or break season for SS, no more excuses! Papabear
It's just like Jason Campbell. Let's pretend he's good and get even more pissed off 3 years later when he still sucks. **** it, there's nothing else to do.

nimblehippo
I agree, but if you took away his nasty cold streak he had, he was ok. Still though, you would expect quality competition to be brought in.

See Randle El, Antwaan. As to the OP, I hear ya' man, but since when have logic and the Redskins gone hand in hand? Hail.

CommanderDOOM
Betts benefitted from a strong system. Solid player tho and runs hard. Rogers could be special if he could benefit from his good instincts and tax QB's with an occasional pick 6. Dock's solid but he and Samuels have few yrs left on the strong side. He spins the laces and holds the ball. There is no system to get use to or great mystery to the position. Shuisham is simply not good. Getting him his own personal holder is not going to make him better IMO.
