Westbrook was a waste of talent. I'll never forget him saying he played football because he could, not because he wanted to. Not saying he couldn't have down time but this guy said he didn't watch football at all away from Redskin park.

Here was a that was 6'.3'', weighed around 215 to 220, strong as an ox, and he ran around a 4:38 forty yard dash. He lacked the passion for the game though.

Really was a waste of talent. Interestingly enough Curtis Martin once made a similar quote to the effect that he didn't like footbal but he played because he was good at it. The difference was that while Curtis Martin also viewed it as just a job, he took it seriously and understood what it meant to be a professional. Westbrook likely could have at a similar career (albeit at a different position) if he wasn't such a knucklehead.

In addition he never worked on technique. I'll never forget Clown Deion Sanders telling him(Westbrook) that he flailed his arms too much. Sanders told him he should run all his routes the same way, even on running plays he should sell what he's doing.

its a pretty entertaining show, I saw the first episode and if you are familiar with MMA, you will know the host is a funny dude. Jason "Mayhem" Miller

I heard somewhere that Mayhem is retiring from MMA...not sure if it's true or not considering how young he is.

I believe Terrell Owens is on record as saying the same thing, and that basketball is his real passion.

What's worse than getting punched by Westbrook is realizing where that fist has BEEN.

Allegedly.

lol. A friend of mine, who played with Westbrook at Colorado, said he and Kordell Stewart were "a little bit too comfortable" in the showers. I guest that's why they were on the same page for that Hail Mary. :whoknows:

I was flipping around the channels last night and happen to catch this new show on MTV.

Then I saw the guy that was to beat up the bully was to be Michael Westbrook, so I stayed and watched it.

If he was only 50% dedicated to football as he is with fighting, Westbrook would have been one hell of a WR.

Westbrook sure did beat the **** out of that guy. :D

That was a beatdown of epic proportions. I can't believe the first sub he went for was an Umaplata. Must have confused the crap out of the guy.

I can't blame Westbrook for not being a great football palyer. If his heart wasn't in to it, his heart wasn't into it. I'm sure his biggest regret is that the uFC wasn't as big then as it is now. He probably would have worked his ass off for that.
