KingGibbs
Hey guys. Looking for advice on Sushi. We went and celebrated my sons birthday last night at Olive and sesame and I got the Tuna Carpaccio. Love the the stuff. Does anybody have any recommendations on a good Sushi dish. If you have had Tuna Carpaccio before is there a dish with similar taste? IbleedBnG83
Welcome to the world of Sushi! I love Philly rolls. Tuna, Cream Cheese, and cucumber! MMMM. Sometimes I'll get it with salmon. Avacodo in Sushi is amazing too. Eel is really good!
BigMike619
welcome to 2004. pretty soon youll be using that crazy computer those kids are all raving about. IM a HUGE fan of "hot kiss rolls" "las vegas rolls" and "philly rolls".
HOF44
Go with Hamachi(yellow tail), it's the best. I stay away from the rolls, not a big fan of seaweed wrap, it tastes fishy to me. Also Toro (fatty tuna) is very good. I prefer mine nigiri style. Fish on top of sushi rice. Just don't ever get cheap sushi.

benskins26
Just don't ever get cheap sushi. Sound advice. Nigiri is great, but perhaps a little too bold for a new sushi eater. Yellow tail is great as well, and any spicy tuna rolls or anything of the sort. There's one roll that I'm sure has different names, but around here it's called a Spiral Ecstacy Roll. Its got like every fish imaginable in it, and wrapped around it. It's awesome.
Duckus
Once you are done eating the baby sushi rolls you can step up and try the full plates of Sashimi. Mmmmmmm, good sashimi can't be beat:

Touchdown Redskins
Sushi is amazing! I don't know too much about it, but I love eating it. I would have to say that spider rolls are my favorite. Basically, it's a sushi roll made with fried soft-shell crabs instead of fish. Whatever sauce they put on top of that is just amazing, and the texture can't be beat. IbleedBnG83
I thought a Philly roll was always salmon? Could be, I just think its where you go. The key ingredient obviously is the cream cheese. But there are places I have gone that call a Philly Roll with tuna in it, perhaps they are knock offs:silly:

TorresA
I like Tuna/Avocado roll which you can get about anywhere. Also as someone else mentioned eel is great. And also try a Spider Roll. Also every sushi place you go to will have their own specials try them out and see what you like

But still to my point, at least around here, Sushi became trendy alot more than 5 years ago.
