No, I very much would not like that. Thank you for asking?

I don't get it though. It's one thing to be critical of our starting QB, as is being critical of any other player on the team. But you're spewing completely unprompted, unadultered hatred at a guy that hasn't played like he should, but has worked his ass off to do his best for the team.

Anytime just trying to make it right.

I am tired of all the excuses given to Jason. Enough is enough time for a change at QB and no more one more year crap. I am not the only one feeling this way either, have you seen the poll? If not go take a look.

He's only got a year left on the contract, so you won't be seeing a change this season. The Redskins are banking that he finally breaks through this season. If he does, they either re-sign him, or if they can't match a free agent deal, they lose Campbell and have to start over at quarterback in 2010.

If Campbell doesn't make many improvements this season, then the Skins still start over at quarterback in 2010, so you will be seeing Campbell for at least another season. Obviously, I'm hoping that we see Campbell for more years, because that means he had his breakout season and we were able to re-sign him, but either way, Campbell will be behind center for 2009.

He is going to be a RFA after this season if there is no cap next year, so keeping him wouldn't be a problem if we want him.

They will both be gone by the season opener.

Yep. We draft a WR in the 2nd round and like MOST receivers are not very productive in their first year. A 2nd rounder who never had alot of playing time in college. A 2nd rounder who from what I read the organization seems to really like the kid and think he can produce alot for us. He also had a BIG touchdown that WAS taken away from him due to Heyer holding. But he was wide open and just ran a perfect route.

Also he can run trick plays as we saw in the Giants game. So I can pretty much GURANTEE actually I would put MONEYon it he will still be on the team by the season opener this year. Care to take me up on this?

Well, that is no guarantee, but I know what you are saying. It does not change the fact that the Redskins don't have to worry about quarterback for this year, but for 2010.

I've seen the polls. People don't want him to start, I get it. I don't really care about that, since everyone has an opinion about him and I just happen to be in the minority.

However, you came into this thread, that really wasn't a Campbell thread at all, and started bashing and spewing hatred at him. Like I said, he hasn't played at the level he should. No one's going to dispute that. But he is one of the hardest workers on the team and he is the starting quarterback. He will be until one person - not me, not you, not anyone on this forum - says he isn't. That's Jim Zorn. Bashing his character and yelling about him being too stupid to play QB doesn't do anything to achieve your goal, which is removing him from under center.

I don't have a problem with people that don't like Campbell. I really don't. But the way you're acting toward someone who works hard and is tough as nails for your football team - when guys like Terrell Owens and Jay Cutler throw their teammates and coaches under the bus, regardless of their own skill level - makes you look really immature and foolish. I don't think that's how you are, either. Come on, man. There are better ways to do it, I promise.

If Thomas can step up and be a true number 2 receiver this offense will be light years ahead of last season. I really hope Thomas can be that guy. He has already shown some good character with his philanthropic endeavors as of late, and now he is putting in the hours with his QB (who isn't going anywhere, nor should he). He's doing the right things and I hope this translates to good chemistry and good results next season.

I wouldn't put bank on that. What Dan Synder wants, he receives. If given Cutler for the right price/trade, you bet your little behind the Redskins are wheeling and dealin right now. But back on topic, awesome news about Devin. Working out with Santana/JC...who cares, it beneficial to himself and the team. I feel it's more beneficial to his season this year and Jason's. At least we know Jason is getting into rythym with Devin and realizes he needs to open the field to make success in the passing game. I hope Devin has a great year this year....I really do. Keep up the good work, we should take every peice of news like this as a step forward in the organization. Players are showing they want to improve.
