If you're getting upgraded to something more expensive, I think they should contact you first. Ok, then how 'bout a conditional upgrade and, if money is involved, you have a week to contact office and pay? If you don't pay, then upgrade offer goes elsewhere. If no money is involved, maybe the plan could be automated to the point where you respond to the email only if you DO NOT want the upgrade. Just batting around possible solutions.
