IbleedBnG83
I was thinking about how much Demarcus Ware will want after this deal. Up until now, Jared Allen was the highest paid defensive player averaging $12.21 a year. Now Haynesworth is getting an average of $14.29 a year with $40mil gauranteed. How much will Ware get? Rotoworld has this to say... Feb. 19, 2009 The Cowboys will meet with the agent for DeMarcus Ware at Indianapolis this week. Dallas has already made an initial offer, but Ware is going to want the most guaranteed money in franchise history. Tony Romo sits to pee received $31M in 2007, and Ware figures to come in right around that number.

The Haynesworth deal will have more of an effect on the Cowboys then most of us thought. I would say that Ware will probably get around $15M a year with about $45M gauranteed. So he will eat up a bunch of their cap space just like Haynesworth will do ours...
Koolblue13
That is the best part of how much we payed him. It's going to screw the cowboys badly. Sure must suck to not have a first and third round pick, thanks to their monster of a WR.

We also have 11 picks, so if we need to get into the 1st round that badly we have the ammunition to do so. Ware is worth every penny IMO.

Die Hard
Dallas seemed to be resigning a lot of their guys to contract extensions the past 1-2 years... so they've got their core already signed. So it shouldn't be a problem accommodating only Ware.
Fred Jones
Driving up the cost the pukes will pay for Ware is about the only thing I like about the AH signing. I think it is a big mistake by the skins FO.

Chachie
DeMarcus is a beast and will be worth the money. Dallas has fat to trim just like we did in order to make the numbers bearable.
Big Blue Joe
I agree that Ware is worth every penny.Where does the 3rd round pick come from? I thought it was traded to Detroit? Worth every penny? If Ware signs the same contract Hayneworth did, he'll be making about $500,000 less per year than the combined salaries of Osi, Tuck, and Kiwanuka. Ware's an excellent player, but I don't think he's worth THAT much.

Ware's an excellent player, but I don't think he's worth THAT much. Most players aren't worth more than three players combined. But Ware and Hanyesworth respectively the best at their positions. It's really not a fair comparison. Plus you guys managed to sign Tuck on the cheap for $30 Million before he exploded this season, establishing himself as one of the best at DE. I honestly feel in the next couple of seasons, you'll start to hear some grumbling from him over being underpaid, just like you heard tons of grumbling from Osi before he messed up his knee. HeHateMe
With that many picks even Jerry should hit some nuggets And I'm thinking he will. If he learned anything from Parcells, he learned a little about draft talent evaluation. Much to my surprised pleasure, they've drafted pretty well since Parcells left. I think it is a big mistake by the skins FO. You guys got a hell of a player for the going rate. You should be happy. Honestly, he will be a difference maker on your Dline, the first of those you've have in quite some time. I think it was the right move. I have more of an issue with the Hall signing... but that may only be me.
BigMike619
nobody will sign a group like the Gnats did with their DL. but the Gnats will never get to do that again now. Ware is a freaking beast and if he was a Redskin I would own one of his jerseys. He will get his money and rightfully so.
