Probably require that every OP and reply in the Stadium be at least a paragraph or longer, 3-4 sentences minimum. If you're going to have a thought about the team, an idea, etc. then be willing to flesh it out. No more of this "+1" or "I agree" and assorted other BS that people throw out, and then leave. I've occasionally tried to start longer threads with a few ideas, but they almost always get buried under a mound of useless responses, and are on the second page under a mound of pointless threads. There's almost no point anymore. I do sometimes wish I had seen this place in its earlier years. The Tailgate may not have been as fun, but I'll bet The Stadium was a more interesting forum.

Probably leave the Tailgate as is, though I'd expect a little more sense out of some people (cough cough *gif thread*).

Frankly, I'm not sure the job is all it's cracked up to be. I think some people here imagine playing God behind a screen, banning people at will who piss you off, editing posts as necessary and for entertainment, getting imagined perks. I'm thinking the job is pretty thankless, wears people down, and I'm not sure that being tabbed isn't more of a curse than anything else.

+1.:silly:

In all seriousness, though, I agree with this.

I can't even visit the stadium during the offseason. It's ridiculous.

Speaking of, I know one of my more unpopular moves would be eliminating the game-day threads in their present form. Trying to slog through that thing during a game is impossible. Paragraph minimum, that would drive people insane.:silly:

Probably also close some of the "epic" threads. I'm so tired of seeing the "paloffs" thread randomly bumped, or similar things that just never die. They need to be allowed to pass. Like a horse, they've pulled up lame, it's time to take those threads behind a barn and end it.

Totally agree with you Phoward, 100%.

My main issue is that we could have 1 thread for 2009 draft prospects or, at worst one thread per draft pick that the Skins have and it can be treated as Sticky during this part of the offseason. In this (these) threads, poster can evolve who they think will be the best draft pick, at a given position, and it will be archived as a collection of ideas.

What do we have now. A new thread, each and every day about need to draft a DE this, need to get an OL that, oh how about JimBob Jones from Tornado-Bait State for the steal. All of this can be consolidated into this English word called "order" and it's refused to be done.

Here's a little thing I like to call, "Offseason Order:"

Draft Pick Thread. Done.

Free Agent Thread. Done

Trade Thread. Done.

Salary Cap Thread. Done.

Player Discussion / Reflection Thread. Done.

I'm I crazy here?

Not let morons start redundant threads in the stadium. Mods should start all threads in the stadium or select which ones from esteemed members to be posted. The stadium would not be a free society that coddles the asinine, it would be a dictatorship guided by thorough selection to promote intelligent, topical, and humorous Redskins banter. Lastly, ban people who are consistently not on topic or who are no where near funny.

Agreed, I'd exercise this in the tailgate too. Not the mods starting the threads, but the morons and their redundancy:).
