Poman
Hello all....I had the extreme displeasure of spending most of the playoffs and the Super Bowl around Steeler fans. At least they were born and raised in Pittsburgh. After the SB, we got into a discussion about fan base. They were both adamant that they want everybody to be Steeler fans, regardless of why. They said they would accept somebody who wore a Cards jersey to the Super Bowl, but a Steeler one afterwards. That it didnt matter about team loyalty, or knowledge. I told them that I, for one, didnt want somebody wearing a Redskins jersey just because they won the SB the year before. I said I didnt want anybody to enjoy the glory, that hadnt been there for the years of pain and dissapointment. They said I was not a true Redskins fan, I should want everybody wearing B&G. I'm curious what everyone's take on this is.. Am I out of line in my beliefs? What do you think: Take anybody who wants to wear B&G, regardless of loyalty or team knowledge? Or expect a higher standard?
