Seat upgrade

Does anyone know if you are eligible to get upgraded from the upper level straight down to the lower level?

My step-mother has season tickets, and she seems to think you have to buy a year of club level tickets to move from uppers to lower level.

Her seats are the 9th row of the 453 section. Seems to me it would only take a year or two of upgrades to get from that section down to the lower level.

453 is a great section and all, but I'd much rather sit in the lower level for a few bucks more!

this is the link to my blank page I get when trying to search. I don't know if it is an issue with the computer I'm using, or just w/ the extremeskins search feature.

just clicked the link and it takes me to the search page. After filling in the fields, it then takes me to the blank white screen.

I'm sure there are other cases of going from uppers to lowers without waiting, but not many. Now another option is to purchase the obstructed view seats. If you do this for three seasons, they will guarantee you the option of moving down to the lower level.

I don't believe they offer that anymore. That was the first year they sold them.

are you positive about this? I had obstructed view seats last year, and they told me that they would never be upgradeable.

I'm pretty sure that is the case nowadays.

Unobstructed, lower level relocation at GA prices was offered only to those who moved in to the newly installed obstructed seating in 2004.

I think it was a PR measure after all of the bad pub the TO took from those who voluntarily moved into the cave without viewing their seats before agreeing to purchase in 2004.

Last year there were several people on ES who got moved down from the 400 level to lower level endzone seating at GA prices. However, most of those people had been on the relocation waiting list since the Snyder era began. It's probably a good 7-8 year wait to move down.

depending on the number of seats you have and where your seats are located, you'll get a call about moving down to the lower level. Lower level seats mainly open up in the corner and behind the endzone, so if your seats are int he middle of the field and you are expecting a call to move down there, keep waiting. If you want to get to the lower level, you can more than likely get something, but it will be corner or behind the enzone.

LOL at three seasons.

The economy blows....the organization is in shambles. You should have no problem at all getting whatever seats you like.

I've made the remark in some other threads that if you have an even number of tickets, it will take you a while to move down. If you have an odd number (particularly 3), you will move quickly.

I have three tickets, and I am going into my 4th season. My locations are as follows:

2006 - Section 449, Row 15

2007 - Section 450, Row 10

2008 - Section 132, Row 19

The first move was without even contacting me. I was actually a little ticked because I liked my section.

The second move, I responded (within an hour) to an email that lowers were available. I asked if it was a problem that I had a group of three. The guy at the T.O. told me that they were all groups of three, and let me pick between several options.

Now, I am trying to work my way around the bowl to the visitors side.

Okay. That happens some times. Instead you can use google.com by typing

keywords here site:extremeskins.com

in the search box

I use this all the time and it always works.

This will be my fifth year with season tickets and I think I have moved down a grand total of five or six rows. I think I am getting jobbed somehow.

Edit: It might be my sixth. Hell, I do not know.

07 was my 1st season as a ticket holder. 440, row 27 (one row from the top). This year was upgraded a whopping 3 rows to 440, row 24.

Am hoping to get WAY down to row 22 or 23 next year.

There are tons of threads discussing this. Search.

Mark I've used the Google search option. It's a good source of info. The only problem with it is I find some of the results to be conflicting and potentially stale. I'm a 1st year season ticket holder....yeah a noob if you like. So I have to ask. What is the best method of going about getting a ticket upgrade? Is there a ticket upgrade waiting list? Some of the comments seem to imply there is one while others say the TO automatically upgrades you. Some seem to have had results calling while others say it takes a letter to the ticket office. Some imply it takes both. I started out in 404 row 27. I may be overly optimistic but I was hoping I could relocate under row 15 next season. Does paying your invoice quickly provide any advantage in getting better seats?

As far as I can tell there isn't an automated system, and the good folks at the ticket office just do the best they can.

That's true. The trick is in the keywords. Use more than one, and use quotes to lock a string of words in sequential order. Don't use common words (e.g. Redskins). I've been very successful with google.

Used to be you had to write a letter and mail it USPS. I've heard nowadays it's automatic. The team tries to upgrade you automatically, and they don't contact you unless there's a price increase. I'd write the letter anyway though, and mail it. I'd also call. The trick in calling is the timing. You want to call at some point after the invoices are due, but before the empty seats are filled. Fans have reported varying success with this. Some say it depends on who you talk to. The fact that the team apparently has a skeleton staff in the TO now probably won't help.

Anyone else confirm the story about 3 tickets being much better than 2,

I sent in a deposit this year for Season Tickets but only for 2, I am sure I could still upgrade to 3 with no problems.

I've seen repeated reports over the years from members in this forum reporting that 3 seats are easier to upgrade than 2. In other words, if your goal is to gradually move closer to the field, it's easier to do that with 3 seats.
