Uhmm, no, Samuels was the No.2 overall pick, regarded as the best tackle in that draft, no way he could have ****ed that pick up....so no that doesn't count. Any sane person would have made that pick, unless you are Matt Millen of course with his love affair with WR's.

Yeah, Cleveland couldn't go wrong with Courtney Brown. :doh: How about Cincy with Peter Warrick. :doh:

Problem number one is Vinny thinks he needs to trade down to get more picks because he got rid of them.

Problem number two is that the team needs a starting OT and starting Guard next season to replace what they had last season.

If a quality OT is available at the 13 spot you have to take him even though you could probably trade down and pick up more picks. Don't pass on quality players, especially Oline players that is a team need. Yes, quality Oline players are available later, but are more risky picks.

Dline needs upgrading, but Oline is more of a need than Dline.

Don't forget Vinny's statement that we need to draft the best available player and not consider the position. We could end up with 3 TEs, a QB and 2 CBs (or some other stupid combo) based on that strategy. Then we'd move Suisham to RT and see how that went...

Seriously though, it does look like there's depth at OT in the draft this coming year, so even following Vinny's stated strategy, the fates may help us avoid disaster.

IMO, we absolutely do need to draft an OT.

Samuels, Heyer, Jansen and Fabini - not good enough for me personally.

Draft an OT and OG/C - it would be foolish not to IMO...
