Nmandi Asomugha (sp)

I never said he is a scrub.

There is something to be said about picking up free agents from winning teams vise picking up free agents from losing teams. We always choose the latter.

There are reasons these teams are losers, and it's not always to do with talent.

I am tired of us cherry picking from losing teams. It hasn't done use much good.

How did Dre Bly do for those Broncos?

Are you honestly comparing him to Dre Bly?

They're franchising him.

1. Nnamdi Asomugha (1)

Season Total: 29 attempts, 4.97 YPA, 62.07 Forced INC%, 0 TDs

this guy is good. I would love to have him, but theres no way in hell we'll get him.

-------------------------------------------

14. Carlos rogers:

Season Total: 101 attempts, 5.83 YPA, 47.52 Forced INC%, 4 TDs

Rogers has improved significantly this year, can't wait to see him improve more next year.

where'd you find those stats from?!?!?! Rogers played good and I knew he was top 20 in the NFL but not that good! Props to CR. I knew he was shutdown. if only he caught some of the ints thrown his way, qb's would be much more scared to throw on him.

i would love to have asumugha on the team. quite frankly though we wouldnt either keep hall or rogers. springs would be cut but u know how rogers feel about starting. i dont think hall would be content givin up his position considering what he has done for us so personally i think it would do nothin but cause us some problems on the defensive side of the ball and we ought to sign rogers and hall. dont fix nothin that aint broke. jus needa buy some glue for his hands

a good friend of mine writes sports for a living.

His 'main thing' is WR/CB rankings and he keeps stats for those.

Rogers improved tons from last year, and if he starts hanging on to all the easy picks hes thrown he'll be top 5:2cents:

I wonder what make you guys think he is so great when I see stats like these?

Season Total: 29 attempts, 4.97 YPA, 62.07 Forced INC%, 0 TDs

again, keep in mind he's on teams best receivers most of the time and has consistently completely taken them out of the game....this truly shows that NFL.com's statistics do not reflect great CB play.

i've watched him play all season and he is, in my opinion, the best corner in the league. Yes, that includes Champ Bailey(suffering from injuries currently)

No, missing my point entirely.

How bout we start signing players from Superbowl teams instead of teams at the bottom of the barrel?

You get a guy from a losing team he comes here with a losing mentality.

Randel El came from a Super Bowl team. That worked out pretty well huh?. Meanwhile, those stupid Patriots got duped into taking that bum Randy Moss from that same losing Oakland Raiders team. I feel sorry for the team that waste their money on that Asomugha guy.

Nice misrepresentation of the facts.

Randy Moss showed he could be a number 1 receiver on a WINNING team which is how he ended up in Oakland.

Randel El showed he was a 4th receiver/gadget player on a Super Bowl team and the Redskins paid him number 1 receiver money.

What's your point?

Exactly. I have no point, because I'm using your logic as a template.

Your words verbatim dude. Nothing really more to say than that.

So you pick one player? WOW.

No I am talking Brandon Lloyd, Andre Carter, Phillip Daniels, Pete Kendall, the corner we got from the niners last year, the running back from Atlanta, etc, etc.

We got one guy from a Super Bowl team, the rest were all losers.

Thanks for playing.

Pete Kendalls actually been pretty solid for us(last year he was, this year he's been average.)

Can Suggs play 4-3 OLB? Because I want a DE who's not an end-backer tweener.

he lines up as a DE for the ravens when they run a 4-3. thats where he gets the majority of his sacks. he is far better as a 4-3 defensive end then a 3-4 olb

i dont think suggs will leave though. he has the oppurtunity to pick up where ray will leave off, besides there closer at this point than we are

Not sure how much I buy that.

Their QB play is still suspect.

Their receiver play is still an issue.

They have a young oline, that should get better.

They have a number of decisions to make on defense. Probably as many if not more than us.

Ray Lewis isn't getting younger.

Damn look at Rogers, #12 on the list, ahead of some pretty impressive names. Coming off his knee injury and without a real pass rush no less.

Someone should send that to the Redskins front office. A million times.

He is better than Champ.

He's an appreciable amount younger obviously, and he's very physical in tackling and run support on top of his superior coverage ability. He was easily the best corner in the league last year as well. Just completely dominant on any WR he matches up against.

He was able to shut down Andre Johnson, which is difficult to do. He would be an upgrade for sure but he'd be VERY expensive. I'd rather keep Carlos and spend the money on Jordan Gross to take over for Jansen at RT.

Now, if we could get creative and have escalator clauses, so if there IS an uncapped year, we could have the bulk of the contract paid during the upcapped year. Then, I'd get greedy and go after Haynesworth, Gross AND Asomugha. It's a pipe dream for sure but it would be nice.

Actually according to wiki,

" Nnamdi was targeted only 27 times with 8 completions for 133 yards and 0 touchdowns allowed the entire season. Nnamdi finished the 2008 season with 40 tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 9 pass deflections."

Dude is a monster.
