You wanna guess how many rush yards Arizona had all season? 1178 combined. Portis had more than that alone. Hell 9 running backs including 3 rookie RB's had more than that alone.

We aren't a passing team. Arizona is. There's a reason they finished DEAD LAST in the NFL in rush ypg averaging less than 75 TEAM rush ypg. They can't run. They averaged 3.5 ypc on over 340 runs all season. That is AWFUL. Now on the other hand we can run. We finished top 10 in rushing offense.

Say we do bring in Haley. Cool, but will he try to make us a pass happy offense? Because we clearly aren't. If he can fix our run offense by dropping Betts and signing or drafting a speedy change of pace back for CP, then I'd be happy. That would allow the pass to open up more and for Colt or JC (preferably Colt) to make plays when he needed too. but if he tried to turn us into a passing team, I think he'd fail..........miserably.

That's because Arizona's offensive line is still a joke - although Russ Grimm got that unit at least to the point where they could keep Kurt Warner upright long enough for Fitzgerald or Boldin to get open - and their running backs are horrid. Edge is way past his expiration date and Hightower is simply godawful.

Haley is a Parcells guy, but he could only work with what he had, and what he had was half of an offense. In Washington, he would have a 1,500 yard back, assuming Portis doesn't get traded, and he would have an offensive line that would surely be Parcells' first rebuilding project. He wouldn't have Boldin and Fitzgerald, but with Moss and Cooley and maybe if one of the invisible rookies could become not so invisible next year, he should still be able to implement a somewhat creative passing game.

Although if the new title of this thread is correct and Parcells wants to coach, the idea of Parcells as GM becomes moot. For the record, bringing in Bill Parcells to coach is not what I want. I'd still be in favor of bringing in Haley, though.
