But I don't believe that the media treats politicans differently when there is a scandal.

Agreed. The ultimate bias is always towards "the story." Anyone in the media would do an expose on his own mother if it sold papers/increased ratings.

I have no problem saying that each of the three media outlets has a slant of some kind, but NOWHERE to the extreme that is claimed here.

The majority here is conservative. So they would have you believe that all media is liberal. When in fact, its the exact oppisite. CNN is supposedly the closest thing to a liberal media, but, thats bull**** too. Just because they don't have some idiot like Sean Hannity, or MSNBC's Scarbourough(sp.?), people are quick to say they are liberal.

Well the leftist media did all they could to supress the Clinton legal nightmares. They refused to report on his rape charges, his molestation charges and buried the Monica story for months until it became too big to hide.

Jack, Bennett did nothing wrong or immoral. This is a perfect example of the left demonizing someone for no reason other than political gain. How is he a hypocrite????

I never said he did anything wrong. I'm just saying he has always been the first to throw stones. If he thinks he did nothing wrong why did he say he would stop? Kilmer the guys a hypocrite because of things he railed about in his past. BTW this has nothing to do with Clinton(did you forget to include the press didn't report on the murder charges made in the Fallwell tapes either?)

The media has also stayed low key on Bush's past scandals. Bush himself was asked "Have you ever used Cocaine" and his reply was not "No" as mine would have been, his reply was "not in the past seven years". It amazes me that the media doesn't follow up on that. The reason why is because there is a certain line that you don't cross. Until these "rape" charges are more substantial or there is some evidence, what do you expect.

The problem with Conservative Politicians is that they hold up this tremendously high moral standards "bar" and preach about the failures of the unmoral liberals, yet when the truth comes out about how these conservatives really are, we are not supposed to laugh and say "what a freakin hypocrite".

I know what you mean. I personally am not a dem but what I don't like about Conservatives is how they preach about how you should live and want to make decisions for me based on Morals. (I don't like how the dems want to make decisions for me as to where my money goes).

I am capable of deciding if Gambling, Drinking, Porn or what ever else is OK for me. I don't need for them to decide that Playboy is unacceptable and take it off the shelves or ban alcohol or whatever, while they are doing it themselves.

I don't do drugs, I don't cheat on my wife, so leave me the Funk alone...:D

There is a clear bias among the media. If you cant see it than you are extremely naive. Journalists lean left and are democrats in large numbers compared to the American public

Fox has a clear conservative slant. But in general, the US media is Conservative by the standards of the World.

The problem many in the right had with Clinton is not becuase he had an affair( though the religious right did), but rather he lied under oath.

Yet those same conservatives probably had no problem with Regan lying under oath about Iran/Contra.

Let's not even joke about outlawing any of the above mentioned vices.

Personally, I like to do all three at once--gamble on porn while drinking...

I dont expect them to cover it. But I also realize that the fact that they dont, doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

Jack, that's not being a hypocrite. If he had done something immoral while derailing others that commit immoral acts, THAT would be hypocritical. He hasn't done anything immoral.

The list of "conservative media outlets" is short and sweet. You could fill volumes of books on liberal media. Start with the 3 major network news divisions, turn left at the major newspapers in the US, and find yourself at NPR. It's laughable that the left try to deny it.

When did Reagan lie under oath?

Ollie North's testimony said that Reagan knew what was going on and Regan left him out to dry when he said he couldn't remember... I don't think he was suffering from Altheimers back then and to say he didn't know about it is pretty crazy.
