Something about JC many over look

He's becoming a real running threat.

He's had moments where he's had to take off, but the past couple games he's has used his size and speed to our advantage.

The QB draw last week for 22, dragging a DB along behind him. Yesterday he had 32 yards, including the hurdle job for a first down.

Just gives other teams something else to worry about ;)

:ols:

not exactly my point ;)

haha I know

I would like to see him have the ability to break free once a game like he's been doing though. That could be a dangerous play since most of the time it's when the pocket leaves the center wide open. It gives him a great view downfield and the ability to take off. Could be a weapon if it can hold LBs and let receivers gain space over the middle.

I wish he would run a little bit more, not alot more but maybe 1 or 2 times more a game.

I dunno, I think he's taking the shots when he has them. He's not nearly as dangerous with his legs as Vick, or even a McNabb/McNair type quarterback. A guy with his frame is only get to get enough to make it worthwhile if the defense really opens up the middle, and I think he's done a good job of reading that.

(That said, the only camera angles I get are the ones on the live broadcast, so if it's tough to say whether he's really making the best of the opportunities.)

I hold my breath when he runs. I worry about him getting "jacked up" and then losing the football.

When I see him run out of necessity (Not like the play called yesterday for the short run), I can appreciate the fact that he is really learning to read the defenses so much better than before.

Jason IMO is just about to turn the corner in his development. It's exciting to watch.

Colt would have broken both of those runs for touchdowns with all 11 defenders on his back...

He would have to... the combination of his height and his low throwing style, he would have to either run, or throw the ball into the back of one of the o-lineman's head...

Is that why he only had a 77% rating in college?

Are linemen in college of lesser height than the pro?

You do realize he is taller than Drew Brees and Brett Favre.

I don't disagree very often with Bubba9497 -- but, in my opinion, Campbell is not a running QB. Okay, if the defense is keying on Portis, Moss, and Cooley, there's probably going to be some running room. But Campbell is not that elusive, he's not athletic of a runner (like Vick, Young, Cunningham, Staubach, or Tarkenton) and apparently doesn't even know how to slide correctly.

Instead of tucking the ball and running, maybe Jason should do a better --and quicker -- job of checking down his progressions before he takes off. It would be an easier way to get the yards. Frankly, Campbell doesn't remind me of any decent running QB, and if he keeps it up, he will eventually wind up getting seriously creamed.

Sorry for the negative vote on this one.
