GOSKINS_08
Maybe im wrong, but in the 2nd half it looked like DeAngelo Hall took over Smoot's spot at CB..I didn't see Smoot out there much at all in the 2nd half..So did Hall get upgraded? jaydogg3eb
I think I saw Smoot get burnt on a few plays. Gave up some key passes I think. I could be wrong though. Not a huge deal, we all know everyone gives up passes, but I think D. Hall might be our best option at the #3 spot. I think our secondary is rather grand with Landry, Horton, and the four beasts at Corner.
Jofizz
Smoot definitely got beat a few times. Don't know if that was the reason hall saw more PT though.
Slateman
I think they're just rotating guys in to keep everyone fresh. We essentially have four guys who could start on any other team in the NFL.
rdskn4eva
lol We have the best Nickle and Dime package in the NFL...BY FAR!!!
Burgold
Smoot also looked like he got hurt on a play. They may have held him out a little more because of pain. Second half our d definately got worse. If not for a bad pass/route that Springs took advantage of I think they march down the field.
Rdskn4Lyf21
Hall looked GREAT. If anyone caught anything while he was covering them it wasn't much. I saw him draped all over whoever he was covering.
Burgold
Today's Post also said that they were rotating everyone in and out to keep them fresh. That' a pretty cool luxury.

That is a very nice luxury. I hope the team decides to keep Springs on board for another couple of seasons so we can retain that luxury. When he's in the game he makes plays. BillyKilmer
I hope the team decides to keep Springs on board for another couple of seasons so we can retain that luxury. When he's in the game he makes plays. Not at his current pay rate, He is getting older and has always been fragile. He is a play maker and great guy on and off the field. The facts are we need some real influx of youth with talent in the DL, OL and LB's.

But if they can continue to work their salary-cap magic and keep Springs around I really wouldn't mind.
Sekhmet728
I think everyone except Hall got burned today. Smoot, Roger, and Springs all let a pass through, but I think it was only one each and Hall just didn't have any thrown in his direction. Plus Seattle didn't pass that much to begin with. G-Prime
No Springs is injured to much every damn year. Next year he needs to take a step back to the 3 or 4 spot and let Los and whomever else take over..
da#1skinsfan
Great day for our secondary in general. They were running all over us and could never seem to set up the pass. Springs gave up the big one to Engram, everything else was pretty minor. Not sure who was on Carlson in the end zone.
IbleedBnG83
I think they are just looking to rotate guys a lot in different situations and see what they can get. At one point, Springs and Hall were the only two corners in, and the only two that can catch.
Laxpunk2006
That is a very nice luxury. It would be nice if we could add a few years to his contract without adding any significant amounts of money. I've been one of Springs' biggest defenders but it's difficult to watch 9 million sit on the bench for the majority of the season.
ozskin
lol We have the best Nickle and Dime package in the NFL...BY FAR!!! Your exactly right, but with virtually no pass rush it isn't nearly as effective as it could be. This secondary could dominate if the QB was rushed consistently. TheGreek1973
Guys I believe they had less than 100 yards of passing. this is seattle we are talking about with Matt at QB. Granted they are not what they used to be but still that is VERY impressive.
Valenski
I hope so cause unlike Rogers he proved his first game he can actually catch a INT!!!
firefighter14
yes thats true but they had 120 plus rushing. If anything we need to try and sign hall for a couple of years trade springs and try to get some help with a pass rusher. Our d-line is really bad. skinsfan67
Our d-line is really beat up. Consider that we gave up less than 250 yards total, I'lltake it week in and week out.
firefighter14
don't count on that this weekend they might have that many rushing yards.

My dream is to see our Defense generate a sack without bringing LB's or DB's on the blitz

nightbird
As we face teams that like to spread you out and create space, it's nice to know we can put our Dime out there and have four high-level corners on the field. We blitzed a lot yesterday because we felt confident playing man-to-man on all their wr's. The Seahawks had a handful of nice pass executions, but there was very little separation out there (except the touchdown to their TE.....i want to know who got roasted on that one).
