#21Taylor4Ever
I think it's painfully obvious that Marcus Washington is done, so now it's time to move on. I love everything he's done and has done for this team, but the injuries are starting to mount for MW. Hip, foot, legs, these are all injuries that could lead to long lasting suffering for him. I'm not saying cut the guy, but maybe it's time we use him sparingly during pass rushing downs. H.B Blades is probably a fan favorite, but he is a MLB and possibly a replacement for Fletcher. I honestly think we have a gem on special teams in Khary Campbell, so maybe it's time we try him out in MW's place. Blades needs a bit more seasoning, plus I think he can become a leader on special teams i.e Khary Campbell. The other option, and I'm sure people will ridicule it, is Jason Taylor in more of a Julius Peppers/Julian Peterson role with Evans staying at DE. Thoughts? The Redskins used Jason Taylor at outside linebacker on early downs in Week 12 and defensive end in passing situations. It's a creative way to get Taylor more involved and gives him more freedom to roam around. Taylor didn't get a sack, but they should come in favorable matchups. He finished with three tackles (all solo) against Seattle. Source: Washington Post Other then my thread on the topic of Taylor lining up as a LB, I also mentioned this to an Eagles fan at my job. I mean obviously Taylor's health is the reason he was moved around a lot more, but it's still kinda nice to suggest something here in ES and see it coming to fruition that same week. :D
