ESPN's Streak for Cash

The top player who had a 24 game winning streak (needed 25) to win 1 million dollars picked Carolina to beat Atlanta. There were much better options available. The next person behind him had 23 or 24, but picked Carolina also. Unbelievable.

If I was sitting on 24, I would have waited, I think. There are college football matchups you can pick each week that are practically gimme games, as much as anything can be in sports these days. I don't think I'd have ever laid it on the line for a professional game.

Of course, I say this and the best I've ever gotten to is 6.

I don't know the rules, but picking Carolina over Atlanta isn't a bad pick. Am I missing somehting?

Carolina got clowned in both college football and NFL. I loved it!

Not so fast my friend!! Well, the guy did say there were better options. And considering Carolina's history in Atlanta, you would have to wonder why he went with that game. Georgia Dome has always been their house of horrors. Plus Atlanta was coming off a disappointing home loss last week to Denver. Plus Carolina had looked less than spectacular in wins over Oakland and Detroit.

A milli a milli a milli. Damn Panthers, that guy will hate that team the rest of his life lol

Well, he wouldn't be alone.:silly:...Just kidding...well, sorta. You see, I can't stand people here in NC that act like you HAVE to be a Panthers fan if you've lived here all your life. Bugs the you know what out of me. And even after you tell them you're a Redskins fan, they will assume then that Carolina is your "2nd fav team". Nooooo. Try again. I then have to explain to them that I can't really pull for them even if I wanted to, since what the Panthers do each week has a direct bearing on the Redskins. Even that seems to go over most Panther fans heads.:)

Hold on, let me clarify the rules. If you build a streak of 25 or more before Dec 31, 2008 you have A CHANCE at winning $1 mil. There have been people that have built streaks of 40. Now if you have the highest streak of the month you win $2,500.

That's wrong. No one has a streak of 40 this year. The most total wins in month wins $2500, and last month's winner had 62 wins, but that wasn't a streak. You need the 25 in a row to win the million.

If two people get #25 in the same day, the tie-breaker is the person with the best winning percentage to that point. That's where the CHANCE comes in, you could tie someone and still lose on a tie-breaker. The girl that lost after 23 was 28-3 up to that point, so she would've won the tie-break in her case.

My best streak is 7. Wow.
