I didnt kno Bill Lazor became Seattle's QB coach after Zorn left. The best thing I got from the article was a quote by Bill Lazor saying: "He's got great character and physical ability to throw the ball, especially down the field," he said. "He was intelligent and he showed a great work ethic." But Lazor said that what always impressed him was Campbell's ability to see everything while in the middle of a game. "He could come to the sideline and have the vision of the whole field and tell you where everyone was and he was usually right," Lazor said. skinfan2k
Campbell just doesn't have the weapons or protection to succeed. I bet when Thomas and Kelly are a full go it will bring excitement to the stands

With this will come the success of our offense and ultimately this team.
RyansRangers
I agree we need to Put El in the slot and one of the rooks has to become a solid #2 and I have a feeling it will be Kelly.. That one catch he had on 3rd down I still remember because no other skin besides cooley makes those catches

And once again, 60-70% of extremskins fans show they have absolutely NO idea what they're talking about. Unfortunately, we will continue to see the "Campbell can't see the field" or the "Campbell locks into one reciever" arguments over and over. Can't wait to see those who've espoused that view reply to me saying there's no reason to trust Lazor, lol. NAC386
As long as you have a black quarterback you will have people saying "He's not smart enough, he doesn't see the field, he is too SLOW to be a quarterback" It's sad, but it's true. JC will prove them wrong as soon as we have some protection.

But like I always say, evrybdy's entitled to their own opinion whether u agree or not. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but it doesn't mean they're safe from being embarassed by having one. They should be embarassed right now, and they should also be willing to admit they had no idea what they were talking about. Of course, the human ego is unlike any other. It's been stated by myself and countless others that Jason doesn't really turn his head, but instead, moves his eyes all over the place. So from our TV camera perspective, it looks like he's just looking one place, when in reality his eyes are moving wildly. Zorn has changed that up a bit and you see him now moving his head also, but the reputation Jason got has been unfortunate and unbearable and it spits in the face of truth. It's sad that it will continue.

The ball was placed in his body, he caught it, immediately got hit, and then he never saw the field again. I may be wrong, does anyone remember the game and time (or at least he quarter)? I can check it to see how good of a catch it was.

I can check it to see how good of a catch it was. It was a decent catch nothing special. They just had him run a quick slant and he caught the ball was immediately tackled and got a first down. He also hurt his ankle on that play and I think thats a reason he did not go back in. I believe it was the Saints game. The reason I have not given up hope on him is because he just has the look and build of a reciever. I think he can be special if Zorn starts putting him on the field. But we just have to wait and see.
mcarey032
It is really sad that some people think that Jason Campbell isn't a going to be our future. We are 6-4 people! How many times in the past was this team in the driver seat for a playoff birth in Oct? Jason Campbell has done a great job and people need to give this guy a break. Teams have found out that they can blitz and the line can't pick it up or they are getting pressure from their down lineman and that is creating a problem as well. The last two losses have come at the hands of a 3-4 defensive scheme. I think that the coaching staff did not adjust and roll the pocket out more and have Jason Campbell do some bootlegs. You see them do it a little, but they could do it a lot more especially since teams like Pittsburgh and Dallas have sent blitzers and there movement of the pocket, so the rusher knew exactly where to go as opposed to throwing efficient screen passes and rolling the pocket. I blame the coaching staff for the last couple of losses and the offensive line. I don't blame Jason Campbell all that much for what happened the last two games. JC will prove them wrong as soon as we have some protection. It is ironic that when Campbell had proper protection, he was playing well. He wasn't lighting up the scoreboard, but 200 yards and 1-2 tds with no INT's a game is pretty solid. Esepcailly when we had a 100+ ypg RB in Portis. Now the last 2 games, protection breaks down for who knows what reason, and Campbell looks like crap. You get Portis past those first guys, he will get you 10 yards or more. You give Campbell another second, and he will find someone open. He's shown this season that he can make proper reads and throw the ball where it needs to be. But yeh, the black QB stigma will always remain.
RiggosMohawk
But yeh, the black QB stigma will always remain. Don't you just pray this isn't the case even on a subconscious level? I love the JC praise coming from a former NFL level coach of his. He has no reason to overly praise him or to be overly harsh. His comments are probably exactly on point with no bias. And wouldn't you know it, they resonate with what other players say about Campbell in the media! And as for the "nobody would throw their QB under the bus"... how many stories have you read quoting "team sources" or "players". If the team didn't believe in Jason, you would have read it. They could even go the Vanderjagt route, and get quoted while bashing Peyton. Look at how that worked out for him! Another ring for Vinatieri, and perhaps the greatest sound bite ever from Peyton during the Pro Bowl.

He's shown this season that he can make proper reads and throw the ball where it needs to be. Pretty easy reason to figure out...except for rams, look at our losses. Giants, Steelers, and Cowboys have very good defensive lines and are very good at rushing the passer, especially with speed. Our O-line is injured, old, and slow; hence they have issues with good pass rushing lines. Give us another game with a defense with a fair to lousy pass rush (hopefully the Seahawks) and Campbell's numbers will look good again.
