OK, So I'm Watching Ball State @ Central Mich. (Excessive Celebration)

Good game BTW (ESPN2). One of the CMU players got a 15-yd penalty for excessive celebration. Whatever. The thing I don't get, is how come it was assessed from the kickoff? I remember during the (I think) WAS-BYU game earlier this season it was tacked on to the extra point kick, which was blocked. Why the difference? :confused:

That game was this year, rince. It was at the end of the game so the chipshot PAT got moved back enough to be blocked.

Damn, you're right - it was Sept 6th. Sure seems like a lot longer ago than that. So I guess I go with option B from my first post - sometimes these type of rules are also 'at the refs discretion'.
