Portis, Cooley, Moss, and Campbell are in the top 10 in votes.

*Honestly I personally don't care about the pro bowl. To me its a popularity contest. Any time Roy Williams makes the pro bowl with a season like last season something is wrong. Fletcher definetly deserves it though.

Adrian Wilson, SS, Cardinals: second among strong safeties with 53,622 votes. The Redskins' Chris Horton leads the way with 164,271. Darren Sharper is third, trailing Wilson by about 2,000 votes. Atari Bigby and James Butler both have more than 45,000.

Nice job Horton!

Also noted, Fletcher, Rogers, Springs, Samuels, Griffin, Golston all lead their positions!!

You might remember being asked once or twice to Vote the Redskins Ticket for the Pro Bowl. Perhaps you saw the lawn signs, or the bumper stickers, or the pins, and you said to yourself, “Self, that will never have any effect on the Pro Bowl voting.”

Mike Sando, ESPN.com’s NFC West blogger, has the current vote standings, and he would have another message for your Self.

Assuming Sando’s numbers are accurate — and if they’re not, someone has gone to a tremendous amount of effort to create a realistic-looking, detailed Excel file — the Redskins currently have four of the top ten overall vote-getters, in Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Chris Cooley, and Jason Campbell.

Sando’s numbers also have the Redskins as the leading vote-getters at running back, fullback (Mike Seller is leading by an astronomical 130,000 votes), tight end, wide receiver, center, guard, tackle, defensive tackle, inside linebacker, strong safety (Chris Horton leading by 111,000 votes), free safety, cornerback, kicker, punter, return specialist, and special teamer.

Oh, and they aren’t leading the position, but have three of the top five at outside linebacker thanks to Jason Taylor’s wearing of number 55.

Fan voting counts 1/3rd toward a player’s chances of making the Pro Bowl roster, so this shouldn’t be taken as an indication that the NFC Pro Bowl roster will be 85% Redskins, but it certainly reflects a motivated and dedicated fanbase.

So nice work voting, everyone, and keep it up. The official Redskins Ticket campaign may have ended with the presidential election, but fan voting is open until December 9.

hahaha, we're stuffing the ballot. I mean I love it, but c'mon, Jason Taylor and Marcus don't deserve to be there. Heyer? I don't know about that either.

None of the three belong there, sadly.

If the Pro Bowl had any integrity in the first place, I'd be more embarassed that the Redskins are doing this. Any time you open something up to multiple votes per person on the internet though, you throw validity out the window.

donnie jones, p, rams: Not among the top five punters. Ryan plackemeier, jeff feagles, derrick frost, brad maynard and saverio rocca comprise the top five. is plackemeier enjoying a great season? No, but he plays for the redskins.

Allen Rossum, return specialist, 49ers: not among the top five. Rock Cartwright, Devin Hester, Reggie Bush, Felix Jones and DeSean Jackson comprise the top five. Yes, Cartwright plays for the Redskins.

Sean Morey, special teams, Cardinals: not among the top five general special-teams players. Khary Campbell, Chase Blackburn, Jarrett Bush, Keith Davis and Corey Graham lead the voting. Yes, Campbell plays for the Redskins.

hahaha!

I'm a Giants fan, but even if i was a Redskins fan this would be evidence enough that the Pro Bowl is a joke. Don't get me wrong, guys like Portis, Moss, and Fletcher certainly deserve it, and you could make an argument for some of your defensive backs, but 10 pro bowlers (with a possible max of 17!) on a 6-4 team? Have to give credit to your fan base's enthusiasm though.

Thankfully fan voting doesn't do everything.

I really wouldn't want all of those guys to get it. I mean, I'd be happy for them if they did...but really...

Cooley, Fletcher, Portis, and Moss are all worthy.

Campbell, Horton, Carlos, Sellars, a nd LaRon can all make cases.

Springs had one good game though. Golston and Griffen really aren't worthy. Rocky is having a solid year but not like last year and not probowl worthy. Taylor and washington, way to injured to have had any worthy impact. Suisham and Plackemier, no way. I hope the stuffing of the box doesn't hurt the Red Snappers chances of being put on the team. Also hope that the obvious fan voting doesn't bias the other 2/3rds to go extremely anti-redskin cause some of the guys do deserve a fair shot.

Hopefully this will be a good ignition point that they fix the pro-bowl voting some.
