Good Things From Last Night's Game (Yes, there were some)

It wasn't Campbell it was the fact he was getting knocked down EVERY single play and if they went to a three step drop then the dALLAS d was just sitting on the routes ...

It was a blue print to beat us and drop passes poor concentration and zero pass protection meens that aggressive defences just pin thier ears back and come after the run and Campbell .

I agree with the following:

1) CP looked formidable for his injury, and should have been used more

2) Thought the D looked good but was on the field, way, way too long and as it is in most NFL games with a decent back, like Barber it is going to wear you down in the end. Bottom line is that the D got tired.

3) Hall did look good. Nice INT.

The negatives:

1) Our offensive line blew last night and the pocket collapsed often. I think Campbell did the best he could and Moss should have caught that pass that was right to him, hit him in the hands. You simply cannot expect Campbell or any QB to perform well with the constant pressure...reminded me of the Steelers game.

2) Rogers got beat on some critical passes last night and it opened up their running game.

3) Too many blitzes but we certainly did not contain Romo sits to pee.

Our front office must focus on replacing aging Offensive linemen in the off season and once again we need a healthy, young, aggressive pass rusher on the Defensive line.

DeAngelo Hall made a pick that I doubt Rogers or Smoot would have held on to.

Nice scramble by JC, dragging the defender with him.

D. Thomas continues to struggle with silly mistakes, but is starting to become a target in the passing game.

CP looked sharp.

Horton continues to make his case for Rookie of the Year.

I am glad someone else noticed passes to Thomas. I know he dropped a big one, but lets face it we are not a superbowl team, or even a dominant team. Allowing our WR to get some action in critical 3rd downs, which he did convert on 2, is great for our future. I was upset because it was Dallas, however, I still like our future with JC under center, a great secondary with the addition of Hall and Horton. We need to address our LB, D line, and O line. Its going to take time but I think we are on the right track.

Dreamboater, I agree and glad to see that at least someone on this board is being positive and reasonable. Although I disagree in saying that we are NOT a super bowl team. No one thought that the Giants were a super bowl team last season. they got hot on the LAST GAME of the season and road that momentum into the playoffs and obv into the super bowl.

There is no reason to say that the Skins couldn't get hot too. They were hot the first 6 games of the season. They could have played with anyone then. So what happened?
