psrichmond
Portis' status has been "Probable" or "Questionable" for almost every game this season, and he has dominated. Is this week much different? Should we expect to see him play through the pain?
ceekay84
Limited play only allows Portis to get 200 rushing yards and that's the limit.
BuddyLeeGhostHunter
I'd like to see Portis come in for a direct snap pass play.
NinjaGaiden
I expect to see him play, but he will not carry the load. He should be in the game more frequent than how Moss was against the Steelers though. To me, I rather have fresh legs if Portis is still hurt. No reason to try to force him and make his knee worst. Springfield
It's Portis. It's Dallas week. If Portis CAN get on the field, Portis WILL get on the field.
Slateman
He'll probably try to. In the process he'll hurt himself worse. He'll be lost for the year. Betts won't be healthy either. So we'll be relying on Shawn Alexander. Yea. Bye bye playoffs.
Yeen80
I'll say that Portis and Betts will split the carries 50/
Springfield
I'll say that Portis and Betts will split the carries 50/50 While I hope so, my fantasy team would benefit if Alexander gets some carries. Alexander getting some TD's would be even better.

terpskins10
An MCL sprain isn't exactly something you "play through" and are okay.
dfitzo53
An MCL sprain isn't exactly something you "play through" and are okay. Not to mention that it's apparently a partial tear. I don't see any good coming from him playing in this game.

MD.C RedskinsFan
Limited play only allows Portis to get 200 rushing yards and that's the limit. Man, you mean I'll never get to see him rush for 500 yards and 17 touchdowns? I am SO disappointed.
Walking Deadman
we'll see how he's doing. If the knee is stiff and hasn't healed (I guarantee they've done at least 1-2 MRIs since the inital one post-Steelers game- Skins can afford it) then he won't play it won't be smart for the long term especially if you have 3 other backs that are healtier. If the tear is healed and there is just some minor soreness, stiffness then he'll play.
HigSkin
If he is just in on passing plays and to block, I'll be happy.

I am NOT a doctor, but if it is a partial tear I cant imagine that a week would heal it. I say this because I tore mine in two spots and had to have surgery to fix it. It may be possible though that if its slight it could fix itself. :whoknows: Granted this is the NFL, but if he wanted to he could play through it all season, even if he tore his ACL. The big difference is that these guys make way to much money to play through it and do further damage because this is their career.

kentuckyskinsfan
It is a must, that we play smart with Portis. The difference between the playoffs relies on Portis later. If he plays extensively or agitates the injury today, we will pay for it later. Why risk one game for a season. It is time for others to step up for one game. Keep Portis out, he won't like it, for the teams own good for the future playoffs.
ST is my boy
Theres no reason for him to play with that injury. I dont expect him to. Ladell will need to play, and play well for the skins to have a chance tonight.

mi6
I don't like this. If you are 100% you suit up and play. If not, you stay on the sideline and cheer...
Idaho fan
I don't like this. If you are 100% you suit up and play. If not, you stay on the sideline and cheer... If the players must be 100% to play (even after a bye) teams would not be able to put 11 players on the field. No one is 100% at this point. I understand your point however that we just don't want the injury to get worse. I am concerned as well, but I have to believe that the coaches and doctors probably know what is best and what risks there are. GO SKINS!
