Wadeger
Now we go into Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a washed-up, non-elusive running back in Alexander, and also non-elusive, off injury Betts... not enough speed for my liking. Rankin is on Raiders practice squad, faster than all these guys, and better. I dont understand the signing of Alexander at all. I sure hope we win somehow. :point2sky
skinfan2k
I mean He is on the Raiders practice squad. He must be sooooooooooo good then, right!
Redskins:Victory_or_Death
This is exactly what we needed to win! A thread saying "I was right nanna nanna boo boo". (about a Raiders practice squad player no-less - considering the Raiders RB problems, don't you think THEY would have started him by now?)
Wadeger
surely you guys cant like Alexander and Betts....PLEASE!!!!!
Redskinloyal_1
I dont know who this guy is but that doesnt matter he is not on our team so leave it at that. Its going to take the team to win this game thats all players on the roster who are active one guy will not make a difference this week. it is a rilvary game and the team has to play well together. Wadeger
and by the way... rather take a fast practice squad player than a washed up guy that we pulled out of retirement... what kinda logic are you using? sheesh

TheDiplomat
I like Betts as a #2 and Alexander as a #3. We'll just see what they can do Sunday night before we talk their failure into existence.
skeenzfan
so fast is all that counts? Can he pass block? Can he pick up the offense? You are not playing madden here.
Redskins:Victory_or_Death
surely you guys cant like Alexander and Betts....PLEASE!!!!!Betts carried us for almost an entire season when Portis was out. Or have you been only a Redskins "fan" since you signed as Rankin's agent?
jnhay
and by the way... rather take a fast practice squad player than a washed up guy that we pulled out of retirement... what kinda logic are you using? sheesh He never retired. Also, I'd rather have a veteran who has experience in the offense (and has had enormous success in his prime) than a young guy who can't make a team. Alexander never retired by the way. Betts is a beast too.
DWinzit
When did you wish for us to take him, recently or at draft time? I mean we had better talent at RB that were cut in August. He was never drafted because he lacks strength and power to run inside. That makes the Oakland PS the perfect place for him. :2cents:
Kurd Cudins
and by the way... rather take a fast practice squad player than a washed up guy that we pulled out of retirement... what kinda logic are you using? sheeshLogic? This is the NFL. The logic of utilizing a former league MVP over a PS player who has never played an NFL snap is sound. Your's is not.

Wadeger
well Betts did do good that year, but ever since he signed that nice contract, he has been virtually worthless.... and i watched Alexander end his career in Seattle, and there is nothing left in the tank.... as far as Redskins fan, you probably dont remember names like Ken Houston, Diron Talbert, Brad Dusek.... been a fan way longer than you. Xero21
I could make the damn Raiders practice squad. Seriously. You'd take a RAIDERS practice squad player over a former MVP and a 1,000 yard rusher? Because he's fast? This is like the whole "but Anthony Mix is TALL!" crap
Wadeger
Deion Sanders was all world supposedly, that really worked out for us. We should have never signed Alexander, and Betts should never get a decent size workload
CapitalDefense
surely you guys cant like Alexander and Betts....PLEASE!!!!! They play on Sundays and have done very well vs your guy only practicing Tuesday through Friday. This is a damn joke!
Wadeger
okay... when we average 2.5 yards a carry tomorrow, you may re-think your stance.
chipwhich
This has to be one of the dumbest threads of all time. It's not like you are saying I told you we should have picked felix jones or someone that has shown some real potential. No, you say I told you so on a guy that can't make the roster on one of the worst teams in football. If I am playing a division rival, with my season on the verge of being tied in the back of the pack. I would take mr. alexander over some practice squad player. Your an oldtimer, you should at least get it. You throw out names like Diron T and old vets like you know what you are talking about in the same thread you want to start a rookie practice squad back against our biggest rival. WOW. jroc96
Who the hell is Louis Rankin? Speed doesn't always make a player better. :dallasuck

Do you also realize that we are paying him the veteran minimum? Your comparison to Deion is invalid.

Mania
Who do you plan on cutting? If we signed Louis Rankin we would need to cut someone and he would need to be on the roster for three games at minimum. With Betts getting healthy, this would be ridiculous.
