He also provided an expert comparison of the Cowboys and Giants defenses. "The Giants really don't really hurt themselves. They don't have too many mental lapses or missed assignments. They play assignment football. ... "As far as Dallas, when you see Dallas and they're not in sync, it's a blown coverage or a blown assignment somewhere. It's obvious because you'll see the guys arguing or looking back at each other as if they didn't know it." Portis' evaluation of the Cowboys echoes Brandon Jacobs' take from a couple Sundays ago. Jacobs mentioned that he heard a lot of bickering amongst Cowboys. Sounds like Wade Phillips has a whole lot of fixin' that won't be solved by Tony Romo sits to pee's return. dcnativenerd
Sounds pretty standard. That's what I'd expect with both teams. I've always had a soft spot for the Giants because it seems like they work well as a team. Whereas the Cowboys are 50+ "superstars" that want the spotlight for themselves. redskins55
There's a lot of talking between the cowboys and Redskins this week. I sure hope it translates into a good game. Both of these ball clubs have been underachieving the last few weeks so there really is no room to talk from anyone.Portis should'nt be doing radio shows and D.Hall's name should'nt come out the mouth of owens. Right now the only team that can talk in my opinion is the giants..
CliffBattles
I read this. What is interesting is all the Cowboy fan comments at the bottom. They seem very upset at the coaching, lack of discipline/structure/fundamentals, and the finger-pointing of the team. I kinda wish CP had kept his mouth shut (again....I love the guy...but please, speak softly and carry a big stick....please), but it does have some truth and resonates all through the organization. I really feel that this game is going to determine, whether the Cowboys turn it around this season....or completely collapse. What worries me, is that my "gut" tells me they will turn it around....by intellectual observation skills tell me otherwise...gut is hard to convince, though. We all know how much CP loves the limelight and he's such a star that we let it slide, but I wish he wouldn't give radio interviews like this either, especially when he may not even play. SkinsManNJ
Its not locker room pump you up material. He is just stating what he seen. If is true then it doesnt matter I dont think they can fix that problem with 2weeks of practice. It should already be there. Maybe next year. Maybe not. For now they will have to make due with the cards they dealt themselves.
terpskins10
Not a fan of giving their D bulletin board material, especially DeMarcus Ware.

iMeast
I hope they continue to have mental breakdowns ... only more so in front of a riled up FedEx Field crowd. :dallasuck HTTR
Chump Bailey
Sounds like Wade Phillips has a whole lot of fixin' that won't be solved by Tony Romo sits to pee's return. Wade is going to take control of the defense I think though and that is a concern. This is going to be a dogfight I think.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. The fear being posted around here is amazing. This is a pivotal game, but the Skins are up for it. Our Defense is playing great and Zorn just needs to attack, attack and attack some more.

He had control of the defense last week and that was arguably their worst effort of the year.
cphil006
As long as we execute we can capitalize on their miscues.
MustangSteve
Sounds like a victory Sunday Night could tear that team apart for the rest of the season.
