bubba9497
http://blogs.usatoday.com/thehuddle/2008/11/roy-williams-li.html Click link for entire article Roy Williams: Lions 'staring 0-16 in the face' Former Lions and current Cowboys WR Roy Williams is openly wondering about whether his former team, the Lions, could become the first team in NFL history to go winless in a 16-game season. "They're staring 0-16 in the face right now, just going by the schedule," said Williams whom Detroit traded to Dallas at the trading deadline. "I hope it doesn't happen, because I think I'm still a part of that team, too. I started out with that team, so if they go 0-16, I've got an asterisk by my name on that team. I hope they don't go 0-16." The Lions, 0-9, face a difficult schedule for their finals seven games. Their next five games (including Thanksgiving day against unbeaten Tennessee) are against teams either in first or second place in their division. Their final two opponents, New Orleans and Green Bay, are both currently 4-5. And Williams has trouble finding a soft spot on the schedule. "I don't see where the one [win] would come," he said. "Maybe Thanksgiving -- the undefeated team vs. the defeated team, and they can get one."
tr1
Nice transition to becoming a puke...looks like Jerruh has picked-up another winner.
hobbie8046
Nothing really wrong with any of that; he said he hopes it doesn't happen but it's not looking promising.
KingRex
I remember the last time the Lions had a losing streak like this, Jay Leno was making them his punchline. After they finally won a game, one of the Lions came on the cameras and said, "Jay Leno can kiss my ass!" I don't think they're going to defeated for the entire season. Someone is going to take them for granted and go half-assed at them.
KDawg
Nothing really wrong with any of that; he said he hopes it doesn't happen but it's not looking promising. Yeah, because he selfishly doesn't want his name attached to the 0-16 team.
Warhead36
I think he's got about as many catches as the Lions do wins over the last few weeks...
Big Blue Joe
I don't think they're going to defeated for the entire season. Someone is going to take them for granted and go half-assed at them. And then they'll actually try for one quarter and beat them anyway.
BlueinBuf
Yeah, because he selfishly doesn't want his name attached to the 0-16 team. Of course he doesn't want to be associated with an 0-16 team who would?
KDawg
Of course he doesn't want to be associated with an 0-16 team who would? All I'm saying is his sentiments aren't exactly heartwarming. They're selfish. Some things are best left unsaid. LaVar could learn that lesson as well.
ouvan59
"I don't see where the one [win] would come," Here's the thing that stuck out to me when I read the article yesterday. That's a complete loser mentality. Talk about what they need to do to win. It falls into line with the criticism of him while he was in Detroit. BAFGA
They'll win a game and the fans will get pissed because it will bump them out of the #1 pick in the draft.
Boss_Hogg
The Lions will get their win. They have been close already this year.
Bibby
They'll win a game and the fans will get pissed because it will bump them out of the #1 pick in the draft. Haha! thats the truth. One of my roommates is a big Lions fan and he says at this point of this season he just wants to see them get the 1st draft pick. Which by the way, they will probably waste on some WR

Which by the way, they will probably waste on some WR  That's the truth. I was listening to Sirius NFL radio yesterday and they were talking about how they could have landed some great draft picks over the past few years but have tried to build this team around wide receivers. They need protection up front first before they can think about wide receivers.
DWinzit
It's moves like this that make me believe the Lions don't win a game this year. Lions Re-Sign QB Henson To Practice Squad Associated Press, ESPN.com - [Full Article] The Detroit Lions have re-signed QB Drew Henson to the team's practice squad. Bubble Screen
They'll win a game and the fans will get pissed because it will bump them out of the #1 pick in the draft. No worries. I'm sure a top WR like Crabtree will still be there at #2.
DCSaints_fan
I bet their win will come against the Saints, who will win their next few games getting our hopes up for a wild card spot only to have them come crashing down.
