WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday that she would be honored to help President-elect Barack Obama in his new administration, even if he did hang around with an "unrepentant domestic terrorist."

The Alaska governor said in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer that if Obama asked her for help on some of the issues she highlighted during this year's campaign, such as energy or services for special-needs children, "it would be my honor to assist and support our new president and the new administration."

"And I speak for other Republicans and Republican governors, also," said Palin, whom Sen. John McCain chose as his running mate in August. "They would be willing also to seize this opportunity that we have to progress this nation together, in a united front."

But asked moments later about some of the tough rhetoric she hurled from the stump, she said she was "still concerned" about Obama's ties to former Weather Underground member-turned-Chicago college professor William Ayers.

I love this woman's style. No matter how much she ends up getting bashed in this thread she is sticking to her guns but will do what she thinks is best for this country.

classy, real classy. guess now that youve won all the things from before are gone, eh. ;)

We all know Sarah is your girl BigMike - still no need to be quite so sensitive. :D

so because people keep asking her and she is answering she isnt graceful?

wow.

I'm sure she's not making a dime off any of these 100 interviews she's giving.

Honestly, I hope God "tells her" it's good for her to run in 2012 - the world can always use a little bit more humor.

werent you the one who wanted to be all respectful when the race was still on? but now that its over I am sensitive for still wanting that same respect? gotcha.

everyone makes money from interviews so I am sure you wouldnt try to hold that against her. And I hope you grow up a little and stop wishing failure on people.

Whatever man, I'm not wishing failure against her.

Secondly, I have been respectful and a few harmless jokes don't change that.

Again, just a little bit sensitive.

All partisan crap aside, I'm glad she is willing to help him. And I believe that she will too. She did come across as a fairly nice/decent person.

and we both know she can help when it comes to energy so why not? if hill-dog and obama can bury the hatchet then why not these 2?

Maybe a bad choice of words. It does almost seem like she and McCain are now coming back out and are in full damage control mode.

paraphrasing...

"Oh no, we didn't lose because of Gov. Palin."

"John and I got along great. We weren't in a divided camp at all."

aaah, I gotcha then. yeah it does seem like they are trying to come back together and mend fences.

but personally if they can come to an agreement and work together I would be in support of it. She isnt backing down on her hatred for Ayers (which I dont blame her for) but she is willing to do her part if asked.
