I'll most likely be voting for Chuck Baldwin in 2008. I'm a GOP, but I refuse to vote for John McCain.

Its not that I don't like the man personally, but I just can't agree with him (nor Obama ie too liberal) on issues such as GWOT.

Do you think alot of conservatives won't vote for John McCain? I get the feeling they don't like him as much as a Bush or a Reagan.

Alot Conservatives (like myself) consider McCain as a moderate. He calls himself a Reagon-like republican, but I don't think so. But with that being said, he's lest liberal as Obama.

No. Most conservative Christians I know are falling for it again with John McCain, just like with Bush. Although, I think that just has a lot to do with blindly following Sarah Palin. :(

Looking back, I would not vote for Bush if I knew then what I know now...

His conservative credentials are actually quite solid.

There is quite a bit I like about John McCain's policies and ideas in how to go forward

I love his energy proposal

I love what he has voted on with regards to spending

He recognizes what a major issue the rising national debt will be

I was a big fan of his campaign finance reform efforts in the early part of the decade

And lets be honest, of all the people who ran this year, he is the one least afraid to go after his own party. He wised up and kissed a few rings to get the nomination, but thats politics. Actions have spoken over his terms in Congress

I did, actually.

Why? Regardless of how people think about the president most people vote strictly under party lines. Either because of the lesser of two evils or they like what the parties policies are.

I vote for W in 04'. Not happy with what W did but still believe he did a better job than Kerry could've. (obviously we will never know for sure)

I am going to vote for McCain (unless anything changes) because I do not agree with Obama's liberal/socialist agenda. I am not thrilled with McCain as he is not a true conservative but Obama hasn't won my vote with anything he has said.
