Boy1Der
Last week was almost a guranteed lost playing the Defending Superbowl champs and division rival on the road in front of a national spotlight. Most everyone would favor the Giants against anybody else in the league in that game. This week however we now have 10 days to prepare for our own season opener were healthy which is much more than we can say about last season were we had already lost one of our starting lineman in the first game. We have had a chance to sitback and look at were are shortcomings are on film and now we can begin to find solutions. This week were hopefully getting back a healthy Shawn Spring and a somewhat healthy Malcom Kelly hopefully. If the Skins can't mange to pull out a win or at least make it one heck of a game than the chicken littles will be justified for now. If the Skins come out with a strong well deserved win that Zorn at least has a pass with me for four more games. So lets give tham that strong 12th man to help secure the win. ttr77
No way can Week 2 determine the season, especially with a rookie head coach and a new system. I think this team will go 1-4 or 0-5 before truly starting to figure things out.

Yeah, right, like any team has gone 0-5 under a rookie coach and had it work out for them in the long-run. ;)

We've seen during the last 2 playoff years that a team can find its rhythm late in the season, or anytime during the season, and make up for slow starts or bad streaks. ST is my boy
I wouldnt call last week a garunteed loss....I was worried about the game...but I still thought before it started we could pull it out. We need to win this week.....and badly. There is tough times ahead.

ciscofan
This games does not tell the whole picture. It is still a small sample. Two games...so what. If we score 41 to nothing then what? We have to see a series of games to make any valid predictions. Is it possible for the team to progress as the season goes on? Yep. As long as we do better than last week in all phases of the game, I'll be happy. But i'm not basing anything on it.

I think this team will go 1-4 or 0-5 before truly starting to figure things out. If we wait that long for them to "figure things out" the season WILL be over for sure! Some people need to take off the blinders and look around us. In our division alone its gonna be a horse race. Some of us are so used to the skins playing poorly, that it has become the norm to just take it rather than expect and demand more. I've noticed that any expections for higher achievement from this team is frowned upon by some. We make excuses on why they can't rather than why they can! We've become corporate like the owner of this team. JKC would have never accepted the product that has been on the field these past years. He demanded and expected better. This IS the week that they need to step up and get back in it.
ntotoro
Gibbs 1.0 started out 0-5. That's why I'm hoping we do. Because a few people think it automatically means Zorn will lead us to three Superbowl victories in four appearances and a bust in Canton for himself... I had always expected this team to play its hardest and not expect failure and a dismal outlook! Thats what we've come to expect though. Losing is contagious and if not nipped, hard to overcome. We should be tired of the gimmick coahes and offenses that have come and gone...let me ask any of you out there....what is REDSKIN football now? Is it the OBC slinging it downfield setting the scoreboard on fire (uh...not), or the WCO without the players built for it?? Many if not half of us truly know what REDSKIN football is. I guess i should lower my expectations like the rest and accept mediocore play as something to be excited about.
