Burgundy Burner
Interesting contrast between the crowds on Saturday. The first picture is from a crowd at the Maverick/Barracuda rally in Colorado Springs. The second picture is from Terre Haute, IN. Care to guess which pic made the front page of the NY Times on Sunday? Yep, the second pic. No bias there eh? The Colorado Springs pic never made it (anywhere) on the NYT. They chose to have a close-up pic of Maverick/Barracuda during the rally. Also, those rallies where Sen. Obama had thousands (in Germany and Oregon) were scheduled just before popular rock bands were to perform. Oh, did the press forget to tell you these things? Hmmmm - no bias there as well, eh? Nothing like that was need for the Maverick/Barracuda rally - just the candidates. Same thing happened the day before in Sterling Heights, MI with one exception - the crowd was even bigger than the rally in Colorado. Enjoy. SUSkinsFan
or there is this one.... my point being that if you look hard enough you can find pictures of either candidate talking to crowds in the thousands, or of them talking to 100 people. Can you provide a link?I don't see how having popular musicians play at your rally's is a bad thing. Maybe McCain/Palin can see if Heart would like to play at one of their rallies...oh, wait.... Toe Jam
So let's **** and moan about how your candidate of choice didn't make the front page of a newspaper. That will get something accomplished in this country. Whine, whine, whine, blah blah blah. I'm inclined to believe Republicans still won't shut up after Obama spanks that McCain ass. HOF44
Besides if there are that many homeless just in Denver, I'd say that says a lot about Bush's policies the last eight years. :2cents:
Dan T.
Wait. I thought Obama attracted crowds only because he was a "celebrity"? Now it's because of rock bands. Which is it? And by the same token, should we now dismiss McCain/Palin as "celebrities" because they attracted a large crowd?

HOF44
It's funny to watch some of these replies. Please, keep it going. The panic that Obama supporters have is quite amusing. I am 45 now and have never voted Dem in a national election before, I am so fed up with the Rep party I am going to this year. I always disliked the hold of the evangelical right on the Rep. party, but liked the Rep economic policies. The Rep are spending like drunken sailors now, so I really have no reason to vote that way any further. There is no candidate that is monetarily conservative, so I'm just left with social issues, so I'm going Dem. As for Palin it's way to early to tell how that's going to turn out. It has brought attention to a campaign that was not very interesting prior to her joining the ticket. It is a huge risk by McCain, with that risk can come great reward or terrible failure. Really it looks like a desperate move on his part. I can understand the Rep base being excited, before her it was boorrring.

How much Q&A was going on at the rally? Why are your panties in a bunch about a picture on the front page of a newspaper? Are you so afraid that your party, that hasn't done such a good job for the country since 2001, will lose the election because of a ****ing New York newspaper picture? This is a WEAK republican started thread.
