heres whats sad:

theres no competition. and thats pathetic. if campbell is so much better and colt is so terrible, let them prove it in practice and with the first squad. colt doesnt even get a shot, which is ridiculous considering how mediocre candle is. id bet any amount of money that colt would win the job over candle, because i see colt as the kind of guy who will take shots, hes definitely more accurate, and he definitely knows what its like to be in a WCO offense. hell all he did in college was stuff like that at Hawaii.

This is the thing that makes me laugh that fans that have seen a guy playing against scrubs ( and pretty badly) and in collage know more than the coachng staff who works with Colt every day .

If there is open competition before Colt is ready and he sucks that could totally blow his confidence . The fact there is no discussion about an open competition says he is not ready .

When JC played against scrubs his 1st year he had less stellar numbers.

The fact is you don't even know what the fact is but you are going to go ahead and still state that as a fact.

If thats the case, then every team in the league should be criticized for not making every position an open competition. There is a reason that some players are picked as first rounders and others as UDFAs, and at the spots in between. Colt was a 6th rounder, which means that most teams didn't think he could come in and compete for a starting spot right away.

Competition at QB is not like competition at RT or WR. Taking practice snaps away from JC means even less practice time with the starting unit, which means less cohesion and less time to iron out the route running in the new system, which is going to result in mediocre results once again. The mere fact that we drafted Colt, and have yet to re-sign JC is competition enough.

Besides, Colt still hasn't beat out Todd Collins for number 2, and people are saying he should compete with Campbell for the number 1?

Looks like I win. How about you have a crow picture in your sig.

JC with 25 TDs....lolololol What the hell were you guys smoking? Some of us saw his true talent (or lack thereof).

Actually, other than TDs the OP was pretty damn close. Even the OP admitted himself he knew the 25 TD number would be difficult, a bunch of people even said in this thread that the numbers looked feasible, except that the 25 TD mark would be difficult.

I am willing to bet that had you come up with numbers you thought JC would get that you'd wouldn't have been anywhere near as close as the OP was. You didn't see his true talent, you were simply busy hating on a player you earlier admitted you have never liked, so you voted no.

Because those people are too impatient to let one system materialize. If something doesn't work right away it's time to scrap it and start all over again for them. Sad thing is, it's that kind of impatience which has screwed our Skins in the past, and it's the same kind of impatience those same fans bash Snyder for having. The impatience is why they want to thrust Colt in there right away. Apparently they all know so much more than the coaches do, and it all is some evil conspiracy by Snyder and Vinny to keep JC as the starter. Apparently the idea of a 6th round pick being the 3rd string QB his rookie year and not being able to compete for a starting job after just 1 season of riding the pine makes too much sense, so therefor there must be other forces at work. Hate can blind just as much as homerism can.
